Information Security Engineer - Database Activity Monitoring Requisition #: 34689 Division: Signature Bank Sub Department: Information Security City: New York State: NY Added to system: 2/17/21 8:29 PM Description Information Security Engineer - Database Activity Monitoring In this position, you will be responsible for the architecture, implementation and maintenance of the Database Access Monitoring infrastructure. You will also monitor and analyze events on other Information Security infrastructures and respond accordingly. Signature Bank is in the process of rolling out a company-wide database monitoring platform to identify and report on malicious activity.--The successful candidate may play a role in the deployment of the DAM infrastructure. Primary responsibilities include:

• Maintain the Database Access Monitoring (DAM) infrastructure which includes performance tuning, event collection, and use case development on the security stack; configure enhancements and upgrades to the DAM tool based on organization needs
• Evaluate and review issues related to IT security attacks, breaches, or business related issues; perform necessary procedures for issue resolution
• Investigate security events and responds according to the Bank's incident response plan; escalate events as needed
• Coordinate with the Bank's managed security server provider for DAM or other infrastructure management tasks and cases.
• Collect data for metrics and generate reports; assist the Information Security Manager in developing policies and procedures for logging, monitoring response and escalations.
• Participate in IT security product evaluations and implementations
• Stay abreast of changes and updates in the information security industry; monitor trends, alerts, new tools and update management accordingly Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years hands on experience in an Information Security role required; to include at least 2 years of experience with SQL administration and/or Database Monitoring preferred
  • 1 year of experience engineering or administering DAM tools (i.e. IBM Guardium, Imperva SecureSphere Database Security)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Risk Management or related field of study
  • Familiar with role-based and least privilege access models
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written; excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized with ability to handle competing demands while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively across various departments
  • Pro-active and motivated; team player with a positive can-do attitude
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SQL database query languages and scripting languages (i.e. Python)
