Network Engineer Information Services Department Debevoise &

firm is seeking one Network Engineer in our New York office. The
Network Engineer is responsible for the implementation, support and
management of network and telephony technologies in a 24x7 business
environment. This position reports to the Technology Engineering
Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to: Build /
maintain / upgrade network systems and infrastructure in all firm
offices and datacenters (including LAN/WAN devices, firewalls, load
balancers, unified communications, etc.) Diagnose and resolve
networking & telephony issues in a timely fashion. Monitor metrics
around utilization and capacity and recommend changes as necessary.
Work within established configuration and change management
framework to ensure awareness, approval, and implementation of
network changes. Provide documentation and train network engineers
as well as other IS staff. Other duties as deemed appropriate by
the Technology Engineering Manager. REQUIREMENTS: The ideal
candidate possesses excellent interpersonal skills and a
professional demeanor to interact successfully with lawyers and
staff at all levels, and to work as a team with other members of
the IS department. Must possess excellent written and oral
communications skills with demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and
solve complex network problems independently. Must be available to
work outside of normal business hours as needed. Minimum 7 years
experience evaluating and recommending multi-vendor solutions to
solve a wide range of firm network requirements. Minimum 7 years
experience with networking equipment. Minimum 7 years working with
telecommunications vendors provisioning and troubleshooting a
variety of circuit types. Minimum 5 years of direct hands-on
experience in IP telephony and related network services. Strong
working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, concepts and application in
production environments (DNS, DHCP, FTP, NTP, etc). Strong working
knowledge of LAN / WAN protocols and technologies (EIGRP, OSPF,
BGP, MPLS, VPLS, IPSec, VPN/DMVPN/GETVPN, QOS, etc.) and
application in production environments. Strong working knowledge of
all major Cisco telephony applications, including Call Manager,
Unity, IM & Presence, UCCX, Emergency Responder, Expressways.
Strong working knowledge of VoIP call flow and routing, including
SIP. Experience upgrading existing phone system components. Strong
working knowledge and understanding of the technical relationship
between networking architecture, VoIP system architecture, and 3rd
party telephony carriers. Strong working knowledge of network
sniffers and probes and packet analysis (tcpdump, Wireshark).
Strong working knowledge of application delivery controllers and
load balancers. Strong working knowledge of wireless technologies
and performance optimizations. Demonstrated expertise in analyzing
and solving complex infrastructure issues. A strong sense of focus
and excellent attention to detail, while working in a very
fast-paced and energetic environment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree in an Information Technology or Engineering field.
Advanced / current network certification strongly preferred.
Experience working with next generation firewalls, application
delivery controllers / load balancers. Experience working with
enterprise wireless controllers/lightweight access points.
Experience implementing and deploying 802.1X and NAC solutions.
Experience with structured project management or have served as
technical lead on infrastructure related project teams. Experience
with multi factor authentication systems. Excellent documentation
skills, including creating logical and physical network diagrams
and runbooks using tools such as Visio and Word. Strong knowledge
of network management tools such as Solarwinds Orion. TO APPLY: A
