DescriptionAs a Site Reliability Engineering Manager, you will be
responsible for building and managing a global SRE team which will
be aligned to our Product teams to help drive availability,
resiliency and stability of JPMC products.You are an engineering
leader who has a passion for reliability and have experience
running a site reliability engineering function. You have the
experience to influence and execute operational and engineering
excellence across a large scale, complex organization. Ideally, you
will have had experience as an SRE leader where you made
significant improvements to developer and customer experience. -You
also demonstrable experience working with architecture to design
reusable patterns to deploy to applications, provide governance
around adoption, and influence application development teams on
roadmaps and designs.You will also have responsibility to attract,
retain and grow top SRE engineering talent, providing guidance,
career development and mentorship to team members.Business
Knowledge:
- Expert knowledge of reliability and production management
domains -
- Has a deep understanding of the key risks of operating in
financial markets and therefore applies a risk management mindset
when developing solutions -
- Strong understanding of business processes and how they map to
the technology stack (application layer down to physical layer)

- Expert practitioner in multiple technology domains, may be a
cross-domain expert able to solve complex and mission critical
problems within a business or across the firm
- Fosters a culture ofcontinuous improvement within the teams
-Responsibilities:
- The Site Reliability Engineering, Manager will be accountable
for creating a scalable SaaS & Cloud Hosted environment
encompassing infrastructure, applications & automation of major
business workstreams and value streams across both private clouds
and public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Lead a team of SREs to develop the automation & orchestration
solutions needed in alignment with key business work streams and
value streams.
- Be passionate about growing careers and mentoring engineers
across both the individual contributor and manager tracks
- Create and foster a culture of growth across the entire cloud
operations organization so that all resources are constantly
upskilling
- Ensure that SRE design patterns are implemented with true
development level standards including the use of CI/CD, unit
testing, integration testing, etc
- Create a culture of continuous improvement in alignment with
business requirements and contributes to the firm/LoB.
- Manage the outcome of priority incidents through facilitating
blameless post-incident evaluations, driving higher accuracy and
accountability in a product, application or service business

- Ideally, you will have had experience as an SRE leader where
you made significant improvements to developer and customer
experience
- Lead development teams throughout the life cycle to help
automate toil, create software for reliability and scale, ensuring
minimal refactoring or changes -
- Provides guidelines/patterns and establishes proper metrics for
building highly scalable, reliable, high performing systems -
- Keen understanding of financial control and budget
management.Skills:
- 12+ years of experience in job specific skills
- 8+ years of experience leading, designing and implementing
infrastructure and or applications engineering solutions in a cloud
operations or managed services environment.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in driving cross
department initiatives to obtain organizational objectives & meet
customer needs.
- The role requires analytical acumen and solution orientation to
probe for understanding and to make appropriate decisions to
address the nuances of technical and business challenges in order
to achieve the targeted outcome
- The vision and ability to drive change across the business in
alignment with product and cloud operations transformational
initiatives.
- Strong interest in further developing and integrating
operations with technology in business value creating ways.
- Awareness of emerging issues, including regulations, industry
practices and technology
- You have the experience to influence and execute operational
and engineering excellence across a large scale, complex
organization.
- Prior experience in large scale internet
companies/technologies, where uptime and continuous availability
was core to the business
- Strong acumen of public cloud and / or private cloud
implementation and application adoption
- Expert with a proven track record in delivering technology
solutions and leading a high performing SRE team in automating the
manual work
- Proven experience in the area of people management on globally
distributed teams
- Expert knowledge of reliability and production management
domains
- Expert in multiple technology stacks with designing, coding,
testing, delivering software
- Experience managing services on modern platforms e.g., AWS,
Azure, GCP
- Experience in managing operations leveraging key event
streaming, messaging and DB services and with cloud-based
technologies and tools especially in deployment, monitoring and
operations
- Expertise in modern development technologies and tools e.g.,
Agile, CI/CD, Git, Terraform and Jenkins
- Strong experience and technical skills in developing/managing
APIs and Microservices
- Expert in performance monitoring and capacity management of
