Opportunity Details Senior Product Engineer Location: Parsippany, NJ Pay Rate : $80/hr - $105/hr Type: Contract Senior Product EngineerThe Senior Product Engineer will strive for continuous productivity and quality improvements/enhancements and will perform various professional level duties on complex products within varied engineering and scientific activities related to systems and component design, development, and test programs, including hardware and software applications.Job duties will include:Lead identification of root cause investigations using problem-solving strategies.Investigate / troubleshoot for quality and technical issues.Analyze product failures, non-conformances, concerns, and defects found, investigate root cause, and implement improvement processes.Design and execute product development trials utilizing design of experiment (DoE) principles.Lead Continuous improvement using DFSS, EMS, Kaizen, Lean and Six Sigma problem solving.Collaborate with various departments to identify and implement ongoing quality improvements.Maintain knowledge and technical expertise of current production best practices tools and techniques.Develop and implement production processes for new products, product enhancements and product changes. Support integration, installation, and testing as required.Collect, analyze, summarize, and present technical data, information, and trends to management.May conduct studies, investigations or analyses involving reliability, predictability, value engineering; or quality assurance problems including hardware and software projects.Assist in the evaluation of materials/products.Required Skills:Deep knowledge of product testing and manufacturing processes and concepts.Strong analytical engineer; design and analysis of mechanical systems, FEA analysis, Material selectionRoot Cause Failure Analysis, RCFA, RCCA, Continuous Improvement, New Product Development, Lean Six Sigma3D CAD Design, design for manufacturability (DFM)Failure analysis, root cause analysis, Six SigmaTest, analysis, design of integrated technologiesStrong presentation skills (written and oral)The ability to perform and multi-task and adjust priorities as appropriatePossess excellent time management skillsAbility to take initiative to meet deadlines and prioritize workload with minimal supervisionStrong problem-solving skillsAction and detail orientedThe ability to work effectively with integrated teams, as well as independentlyMust be a US CitizenComputer SkillsMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Project, Visio, SolidWorks, ERP Systems, MinitabRequired Experience:Experience in the Aerospace/Defense Industry strongly preferredExperience with electro-mechanical or actuator systemsMinimum of 5 years manufacturing or process engineering experienceBachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, M.S. a plusPI208449449
