We have an immediate need for a Project Civil Engineer for our Edison, New Jersey Office. LiRo currently provides the opportunity for a hybrid/flex-hour work schedule. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Metro Park, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of civil engineering analysis and design tasks related to: roadway and grading design, site layout and planning, zoning analysis, site storm-water management, utility planning and coordination, site ADA compliance
• Support coordination and presentation of submissions with local utilities, municipalities, environmental agencies, and town planning boards
• Perform site investigations to observe and document existing conditions
• Complete and review design calculations; assist in the preparation of drawings and specifications
• Support the development of project plans, design calculations, specifications and the coordination with other design disciplines as required to deliver high quality engineering services
• Perform construction inspections and provide responses and solutions to issues during the construction administration phase of projects
• Utilize a broad assortment of technical and project management skills on projects that range from small site restorations to large scale new construction
• Attend professional industry functions
• Support the development of technical standards and mentorship of junior engineering staff
  
  Qualifications
  
  
  
  
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • 5+ years' experience in Civil Engineering
  • EIT certification required, NJ PE preferred
  • Ability to provide guidance to junior level engineers
  • Understanding and application of code requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and consistently meet deadlines
