Job Description Job Description Location: Ramsey, NJ About the Role MMT is looking for a Mechanical Assembler II to join our Ramsey team. This role is hands-on and ideal for someone who enjoys building complex mechanical systems with precision and care. You’ll assemble detailed mechanisms, troubleshoot issues, and support final inspection and testing to make sure every machine meets performance standards. What You’ll Do • Assemble complex mechanical units with accuracy and attention to detail • Read and interpret engineering prints, specifications, schematics, and work instructions • Position, align, level, and fit subassemblies and components • Calibrate, time, and balance assemblies to meet operating requirements • Use hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, and crimpers • Use precision measuring tools including calipers, scales, and gauges • Inspect parts and assemblies to ensure they meet specifications • Identify defects, document findings, and complete rework as needed • Follow safety guidelines and quality procedures at all times • Maintain a clean, organized workspace • Enter basic data to update job order status and complete required documentation • Work both independently and as part of a team • Cross-train coworkers as needed What You Bring • 2–4 years of mechanical assembly experience preferred • Experience with centerless grinding is a plus • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school experience preferred • Strong problem-solving skills • Ability to read and follow instructions and engineering drawings • High attention to detail and quality • Ability to lift 30–50 pounds regularly • Comfortable with repetitive tasks and standing for most of the shift • Strong manual dexterity and ability to assemble parts accurately Why You’ll Love Working Here You’ll join a team that takes pride in craftsmanship, problem-solving, and delivering high-quality equipment.
