To learn more, please visit LinkedIn, our Newsroom and the Careers page of *******************. * This role is based in the field and requires extensive business travel Responsibilities: The Field Director is responsible for the implementation of the African American Market strategy which is geared to increase agent recruiting, retention, productivity, and Life sales in the African American Community. Specifically the director will develop and implement a tactical plan specifically for target general offices and provide national support to other areas of focus for the market. This individual will also work with the Target Market Team, Zone and GO Field Management to track progress and assess return on investment for each assigned office. Work with local office management teams to develop and implement recruiting, case rate and marketing strategies to reach the goals and objectives of the African American Market Unit Provide recommendations to, and assistance in all, recruiting and case rate related marketing efforts Actively generate candidate and prospect name flow in target areas, engage CI's, and manage candidate pipeline and projections for assigned offices Manage the distribution of, and follow-up on, all recruiting and prospecting leads generated through internet or other campaign Develop and manage recruiting and case rate campaigns, such as ARD and direct response Develop and manage relationships with the African American business, professional, and community-based organizations, particularly those focused on career development and sales Conduct cultural awareness and target recruiting training with Field management as needed to implement market recruiting and case rate strategies Work with Zone and Home Office management to identify internal and external market management candidate Identify and manage participation in market specific recruiting and sales events such as career fairs, expos, and seminars Travel to General Offices and sponsored events to support the manpower and case rate strategies Compile, manage, and maintain market recruiting, retention, case rate and recurring premium data; and generate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports Requirements: Bachelor's degreee preferred Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in sales and sales management, Agency knowledge in the NYL system, and experience in a sales, recruiting, or management capacity. Strong understanding of the life insurance industry, products, and ability to demonstrate technical exptertise Strong understanding of career Agency recruiting and Agent development process preferably within the NYL system Experienced in developing community relationships and sales/recruiting opportunities Proven ability to gather, interpret, and present sales, production, and recruiting data and measures Must have an in-depth understanding of the African American community, professional, and business environtment Proven experience in recruiting, sales, and marketing in the insurance industry, preferably within the NYL Agency system Strong organizational skills, must be able to work with minimal supervision Strong business planning, tactical, communication, and people skills EOE M/F/D/V If you have difficulty using or interacting with any portions of this Web site due to incompatibility with an Assistive Technology, if you need the information in an alternative format, or if you have suggestions on how we can make this site more accessible, please contact us at: **************.
