Summary:Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Human Resources, the Director of HR guides and manages Human Resources services, policies, and programs--that support an employee-oriented, high-performance culture along the dimensions of quality, productivity and customer-service excellence.--He/she is responsible for planning and maintaining a comprehensive system that--attracts, retains and motivates top talent to meet the Company's broader growth objectives.Responsibilities:Lead and be hands on in the strategic direction on all aspects of Human Resources including recruiting, onboarding, compliance, benefits administration, leave of absence management, performance and compensation management, employee relations, onboarding and terminations, and payroll.Engage with employees on employee relations matters, cultural initiatives, and day to day process development and improvement to provide a work environment conducive to successContinually initiate new and/or modify existing HR policies, and procedures and effectively communicating them to the executive team and employeesDevelop talent acquisition strategies and hiring plan; proactively build applicant pipelines to meet current and future business needsMonitor employee morale and resolve complex employee relations issues, and conduct employee investigationsMaintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization's compliance with local, state and federal lawsReviews and revises company HR policies and procedures to better align employee satisfaction and company needs. Initial focus on employee performance reviews and associated compensation.Reviews and revises job descriptions to align with evolving company needs / requirements.Conducts quarterly employee satisfaction surveys, reports results and develops action plans for remediation of recurring issues and implements remedies with the approval of the SVP, Human Resources. In conjunction with the SVP HR and Payroll/Benefit team, oversee all payroll and related withholding obligations. Ensure smooth payroll process bi-weekly.Oversee the administration of health insurance, medical and dental plans, EAP services, COBRA and other employee benefits.Serve as the knowledge base for HR-related questions, accepted practices, laws and standards.Investigate all employee complaints and facilitate conflict resolutions.Drive the Talent Review and performance management processes--to support leaders and continually raise the bar of excellenceProvide day-to-day performance management guidance--to managers (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)Ensure that all candidates and new hires enjoy a professional and friendly experience with the companyOversee the development and delivery of new hire orientation--for all employees and--ongoing employee skill development--that includes regular coaching with managers and other experts in the industry.Participate in operational planning to help identify staffing needs for the responseWork with recruiting team to mobilize staff with the right mix of experience, skills and knowledgeSupport the safety and well-being of emergency staff, given the increased risks of an emergency environmentImplement HR policy and systems to meet operational requirements and local laws.Ok with travel 20%Qualifications:Education: Bachelors' Degree in Human Resources or related field. Masters' Degree and / or SHRM certification preferred but not required. 8+ years of human resource generalist experience. Five years' experience as the senior level HR manager for a small-to-midsized company and appropriate to the requirements of this position. Experience in managing talent acquisition programs and process for recruitment at all organizational levels. Experience in managing training and development programs and processes for the training and retention of top talent. Experience in establishing and meeting human resource accountability measures. Experience in working within and supporting a business growth environment. Documented success in the fulfillment of human resource management responsibilities. Highly effective and proficient written and oral communication skills and abilities. Able to establish relationships quickly and interact effectively at all organizational levels. Experience in implementing new management systems designed to identify. responsibility, define accountability, and to properly manage growth.--Please send a resume to
