Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital.? We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.This position will support the US Entities of International Banks and Canadian Bank client portfolios within the Banks Vertical, a client vertical within the Corporate & Investment Bank?s Financial Institutions Group.? The team member who is selected for the RM position will be responsible for helping to support Relationship Managers who act as primary coverage officers for the US EIB and Canadian Bank client relationships.? This position will support the RMs in their efforts to expand the relationship with Wells Fargo through pro-active, strategic business development efforts in close coordination with product partners, credit and compliance.? The team member who is selected will provide support by preparing materials for client related meetings (internal and external), assisting in structuring and executing transactions with financial/credit analysis in partnership with credit analysts and senior staff, and by representing the bank in developing and maintaining client relationships in conjunction with a more senior RM, including sourcing, evaluating and converting new business opportunities.?The incumbent will partner effectively with other groups (sales, product, operations, etc.) to meet revenue targets, execute business plans and implement new business and retain existing business.? The incumbent may participate in presentations to senior management and /or client calls and identify opportunities to recommend additional products/services to be sold and/or presented to clients.? The incumbent will assist in achieving business development (sales) goals set by Relationship Managers and Regional Manager; may complete selected professional development training through Wholesale Banking Financial Analyst Program (FAP).Other responsibilities include:

  • Support of RM including RM inquiries, customer inquiries and providing product and system support as required
  • Support RM/Rep Office through active participation in the credit process and act as liaison with Risk Management and Product Partners
  • Prepare accurate and timely credit description of counterparties and transactions for specific business discussions with credit, compliance and Senior management
  • Support RM with accurate assessments of ROE, runoffs, risk mitigation and other credit related parameters
  • Provide support for the preparation of briefings, relationship plans, Ad-Hoc reports on specific counterparties, etc.
  • Provide information and updates on events that affect countries, regulatory environments and counterparties in the RM coverage universe
  • Ensure timely annual review of counterparties according to FIG policy in coordination with RMs, where relevant
  • Support a compliance-driven culture, which firmly establishes compliance risk management as a discipline critical to our success and the success of our customers
  • Ensure robust compliance with Know Your Client documentation, Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering policies and procedures in order to effectively mitigate and manage risk
  • Collaborate extensively with Financial Institutions Group Compliance, Global Customer Risk Team and the Financial Institutions Group Relationship Management Support Team both ?on the ground? and in management decision making
  • Ensure compliance with Wells Fargo expense policies and procedures including Global Anti-Corruption policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with other Wells Fargo departments to ensure that client issues are addressed and resolved in a timely mannerTeam members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit?s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

    Required Qualifications
    • 1+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: account relationship management, credit management experience, international/financial institution banking experience
    • A BS/BA degree or higher

      • Knowledge and understanding of credit risk management
      • Knowledge and understanding of compliance risk in the financial services industry
