As the Director, Digital Solutions Optimization you will lead and motivate cross-functional teams to execute Digital Solutions business, supporting strategic plans and tactical execution. In this position, you will oversee and manage business priorities, budget, and continuous planning cycle activities. You will ensure execution of business and/or projects are aligned and integrated with corporate strategies, plans and initiatives. Additionally, you will provide guidance to others such as junior project managers in ways that promote the SNB culture with a goal of delivering the desirable outcome to our organization. You will be end-to-end responsible for specific solutions/products towards the leadership team.

  • Manage, develop, and empower a team of product which lives, breathes and evangelizes agile product development practices across our product, technology, marketing, sales, vendors and data science teams
  • Ownership of Sterling Bank online banking and digital banking solutions, on multiple platforms/channels
  • Define and execute the near and long-term strategy for digital solutions, guaranteeing recurrent optimization and best in class offering to both consumer and corporate clients
  • Lead digital project life cycle related to products including, business requirements/stories, testing, assisting with production ticket research/escalations, and keeping documentation up to date.
  • Write, coordinate and lead review and distribution of internal and external communications and educational initiatives
  • Engage with other duties as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.

    Who We Want

    • A minimum of 10 years of financial services and/or payments experience in digital banking, digital solutions or digital channels
    • Experience building a digital bank or FinTech
    • Deep understanding of digital industry dynamics and competitive landscape
    • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, quickly understand complex operational problems and define operational improvements in a matrixed organization
    • Experience in the cybersecurity space is a plus
    • Ability to work autonomously in making sound business decisions and exercises appropriate level of authority commensurate with experience and responsibility
    • Ability to build positive relationships throughout the bank and capable of establishing professional expertise through integrity, dedication, and strategic counsel
    • Must be capable of inspiring confidence and respect in staff and motivate colleagues to achieve individual, division and company goals
    • Strong written and oral communication skills; must be able to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
    • Candidates with advanced degrees (Associates, Bachelor's, and/or Master's) preferred, yet a High School diploma or GED is required. Candidates with some combination of coursework and experience, or else extensive related professional experience, are eligible for consideration

    • Excellent communication skills in order to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to senior audiences
    • Experience working with B2B and B2C solutions, client facing channels
    • Experience as a people manager with the ability to attract, recruit, retain, and develop creative talent
    • Collaborative and inclusive team player, who can build relationships and ensure connections across silos
