Job Description:

Director, Project Management - Thinx Inc. Thinx Inc., an innovative company that is disrupting the menstrual hygiene and incontinence product categories, seeks a self-motivated Director of Project Management to lead us in managing deliverables, keeping us to our production schedules, managing our resources, and creating a smooth and harmonious stream of communication between each department. This individual needs to be extremely detail-oriented, collaborative and process-driven in order to help us lead the way to a more organized and efficient flow. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you would lead our Project Management team while overseeing multiple projects yourself as well as continuously optimizing and standardizing our existing processes and tools. We need someone with a sense of humor, humility and willingness to embrace ambiguity while they balance all the aspects of the role with grace. REQUIREMENTS--

  • Bachelor's Degree required. MBA preferred
  • 7-10 years of work experience, with heavy emphasis on project management and transformation; ideally with experience at a large consulting firm
  • Highly detail-oriented and process-driven
  • Exceptional communication skills, both internally- and externally-facing
  • Advanced, applied knowledge of Project Management frameworks in both traditional and Agile (Kanban, XP, Scrum) methodologies
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish trust and credibility, problem-solve, build consensus, motivate and hit KPIs
  • Ability to clearly and succinctly present your POV
  • Committed to performing at a high level on a consistent basis
  • Humility and willingness to roll up sleeves and take ownership of clearing any obstacles the team faces
  • Empathetic and adaptable. We move fast and at times things change. Be flexible to gracefully pivot when needed
  • Comfort with presenting in front of large groups of people and drawing out feedback from others
  • A master at seeing the big picture and predicting gaps in processes while developing an action plan to overcome those gaps
  • Collaborative work style balanced with the assertiveness required to meet deadlines and manage expectations RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Be an internal business partner by leading and building out the Project Management function
    • Build and operationalize workflows that continuously optimize and standardize the execution of projects and drive effectiveness in cross-functional communication and collaboration
    • Prepare estimates and critical path schedules for all phases of the project
    • Coordinate resources across multiple project initiatives and teams
    • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues to leadership team
    • Assist with procurement as needed - developing RFPs and negotiating terms of contracts for new vendors
    • Identify and manage risk by building risk assessments and deploying risk mitigation strategies as required
    • Set and manage budget for the function
    • Identify and communicate bottlenecks to staying on schedule, scope and budget, and work with teams to resolve these proactively
    • Define, disseminate and track project success criteria
    • Synthesize quantitative and qualitative inputs into clear, concise presentations
    • Help establish policies, tools and frameworks to expand and mature the capabilities of the organization
