This position plays a focal--lead role in--planning, evaluating, and selecting the right data analytics capabilities for the enterprise. As part of a highly collaborative team, the role will--interact with many technical and business resources across the enterprise. The ideal candidate is a committed, creative, self-motivated technologist who is interested in practicing his or her skills and learning new ones.Primary Duties and Responsibilities* Manage and oversee in-house, contract/remote developers* Architect, design and build enterprise analytics platform incrementally* Provide technical leadership by implementing modeling and programming standards* Translate requirements from business analysts and customers to value added reports, dashboards, KPIs and selfservice models.* Support the future direction of business intelligence within the organization and identify areas of functionality that can be delivered to the business.* Modernize product end-user and integration points* Educate and guide business in best practices* Support deployed platforms in production* Ensure that process and knowledge is systematically documented* Complete other tasks as required* Provide 24x7 on-call support, after hours and weekend work as neededExperience, Education and Skills* 5+ years of hands-on management of technical team members* 3+ years managing vendors and contractors, timesheet approvals, contract SLAs and KPIs* 8+ years' experience in MS BI stack - SQL Server, PDW, SSIS, SSAS* 5+ years' experience in architecture and design of Data warehouse, highly scalable ETL process and analytics platform* 2+ years' experience in NoSQL, Azure or AWS* Strong Azure SQL Data warehouse, Azure Analysis services and Azure Data lake experience* Experience setting On-Premise data gateways* Strong experience modeling Relational, Dimensional and unstructured data* Deep Experience in building highly scalable ETL process with complex data transformations from disparate applications including CDC and error handling.* Ability to communicate and execute new concepts, ideas, techniques, best practices and technology in the Reporting, Data Analysis, Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, and ETL space* Experience with TFS and Git* Experience with agile methodologies: SCRUM* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent industry experienceGeneral Requirements* Manage, lead and mentor a team of highly technical resources* Exhibit and practice courteous, ethical and professional behavior while interacting with both internal and external customers* Act in a collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on common goals to achieve mutually beneficial--results* Be accountable and responsible for the accuracy and completeness of assigned work and results* Prioritize and manage work load and communicate issues clearly* Exhibit effective verbal and written communication skills* Comply with all laws, regulations and company policies* Travel when required
