Description Position Summary Responsible for the strategic
leadership, planning, and sustainable implementation of the
programs and services within the Workforce Development division
including; Learning and Development, Retail Training, Colocation
Partnerships, Community Employment Centers, Associate Development,
Co-location partnerships and Workforce Solutions services.
(Other duties within the scope of this position may be assigned.)
1. Works collaboratively with Goodwill's internal and external
stakeholders to assess, develop, implement , and evauate Career and
Talent Development strategies that most effectively and efficiently
meet the real-time demands of our associates and job-seekers facing
challenges to employment, in alignment with the organization's
Board approved strategic plan and annual operating budget.
2. Responsible for the ongoing development of our associates and
the execution of the Begin@Home strategy. This includes, but is not
limited to, retail training, leadership development and personal
and professional skills training.
3. Serves as the Career and Talent Development thought leader
internally and externally to advance the quality, effectiveness and
efficiency of GCCVA and the regions served in meeting job-seeker
facing challenges to employment and employer needs to achieve
optimal mission impact.
4. Facilitates the integrated leadership, management and operations
of programs and services across the career and talent development
continuum for most effectively leveraging the array of competencies
and resources across GCCVA and with our external stakeholders to
achieve optimal mission impact.
5. Drives operational excellence by delivering and demanding data
driven decision making to identify challenges and opportunities and
implement effective, efficient and strategically aligned
6. Ensures a culture of accountability through use of timely,
accurate and relevant data to facilitate strategic, operational and
practical decision-making at all levels of the Workforce
7. Develops and maintains a broad network of strategic workforce
development partners within the Goodwill Network and among regional
industry stakeholders to continuously advance GCCVA's mission
delivery and position as a collaborative leader.
8. Advances a values-based culture within the Workforce Development
division and across the organization, leading by example and
actively engaging in continuous professional development to achieve
9. Ensures leadership and operational compliance of all career and
talent development programs and services with applicable licensing,
regulatory, funding and accrediting bodies.
10. Champions "Values Based Leadership" and partners with leaders
to identify "Values in action." Lives our core values.
Education/Experience/Certificates/Security Clearance --- Grants
management experience, a plus.
