Director of Global Procurement - Product and Operational Services WeWork is looking for a skilled Procurement Leader to lead Procurement and Sourcing strategy and activities for Product and Operational Services. This person will lead the strategy for their sector and work in partnership with the regions to ensure consistency and coverage across our global activities. This position will drive the transformation of how WeWork will operate in the future and ensure we build a scalable and measurable procurement operation to adequately support both the development of new assets and the operation of the existing fleet of assets in both the deployment of Capex and Opex. The role requires the individual to demonstrate a deep understanding of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, inventory management, logistics, and people management as well as an ability to lead and transform processes and execution across the business. This individual will be experienced in deploying procurement practices using a combination of in-house and external resources. This role will be procuring and deploying procurement strategies across multiple geographies. They will also need to build relationships with Cross-functional stakeholders within the procurement function to ensure compliance and execution excellence. Finally, this individual will need to have a deeper understanding of supply market dynamics to ensure maximum cost savings through procurement.-- The Director will build strong relationships with key stakeholders, executives, and employees across the company to secure an organizational commitment for defined strategies. Product and Operational Services will include the following categories; Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment, Accessories, Construction Materials, Storefront, and Operational Services/Supplies. Responsibilities: Drive global and regional approach to Procurement owner for all cost centers included within the Construction sector in both Direct and Indirect spend Lead RFPs globally in collaboration with regional partners to ensure consistency and coverage. Leverage multi-region vendors as necessary. Partner with Regions to develop regional product supply chain strategies to meet pipeline volume and schedule Make recommendation on best option for (i) Specify, (ii) Specify & Source, (iii) Specify, Source, and Buy within the region Research, source, negotiate and execute contracts with vendors to meet the companies delivery objectives-- Complete Cost impact analysis with a strong focus on Total Acquisition Cost Lead the development of a reliable network of vendors and consultants on a Global, Regional, National, and Local basis that aligns with the various requirements of the company across all Capex and Opex Cost Centers Responsible for developing a multi-regional sourcing plan to identify, pre-qualify, and negotiate commercial terms/MSA's with Contractors/Consultant services; assessing experience and fit-for WeWork brand, culture, and business goals Work with corporate legal to develop commercial terms to minimize risk and create enhanced contract terms for WeWork Pre-negotiate fee structures and rate books with Contractors/Consultant and Vendors Create and deploy an SRM relationship model with the Contractors, Consultants, Suppliers, to continually enhance working practices and more open collaboration.-- Establish KPI/SLA targets + metrics to formalize assessment and reporting of Contractor, Consultant, Supplier performance Establish and lead commodity teams for products and services; serve as lead negotiator and primary point of contact for suppliers within a given region Coordinate the review of proposed contracts with respect to financial terms; incorporate Terms; intellectual property rights; service terms; WeWork liability; and conformance to WeWork policies and applicable legal guidelines. Seek expert opinions and internal consult as necessary Evaluate financial and operational (personnel or process-related) effects of proposed contract provisions Deliver information about completed agreements to WeWork partners; publicize agreements in order to achieve greater participation and savings Evaluate existing processes as they relate to the sourcing and supply chain discipline regionally, but with a mindset of coordination and inclusion of all design, development, and operations disciplines Present known or discovered pain points and bottlenecks to the appropriate stakeholders and build consensus toward a solution Analyze and present key procurement data and metrics to the Global leadership team, business leadership, identifying areas of opportunity-- Develop and maintain effective working relationships to meet the needs of WeWork and its clients-- Lead continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers and stakeholders-- Act as a chain agent to simplify and streamline processes and supply chain models across the Americas Qualifications B.S. / B.A. degree in Business (or other related degree programs), MBA preferred-- 10+ years of Strategic Sourcing experience or procurement consulting experience Demonstrated success of leading cross-functional project teams to achieve quantifiable savings by applying sourcing methods. Transformation experience a plus Ability to drive change in a global decentralized organization with minimum supervision Champions best practice processes, tools, and commitment to providing quality procurement products & service Experience with establishing and maintaining strong relationships and leading cross-functional stakeholders across levels without direct reporting lines for successful engagement in strategy and execution Experience analyzing spend data and developing a roadmap for Construction Category Spend management transformation Ability to prioritize tasks to align with a pipeline of multiple projects and report on costs savings expectations Impeccable and concise communication and presentation skills, verbal and written Highly resourceful problem solver that takes accountability and drives to results with minimal direction Strong time management skills and experience managing multiple project teams, responsibilities, and deadlines simultaneously Ability to understand, organize and communicate complex information in an easily understandable format tailored to a variety of audiences Follows a "Teams Win" philosophy, fostering a positive, collaborative environment Highly adaptable and efficient in a constantly evolving environment High energy, passionate, strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving improvement and implementing strategies, technology, and processes to get results Experienced in managing across multi-location, multi-territory organization, providing support in Capex and Opex expenditure Have you signed a noncompete, nonsolicitation, confidentiality or other agreement with your current employer or any previous employer that could impact your ability to work for WeWork? --*
