A global leader in exposing extremism, delivering anti-bias--education--and fighting hate online, ADL's ultimate goal is a world in which no group or individual suffers from bias, discrimination or hate.--- ADL's CEO and National Director, Jonathan Greenblatt-an accomplished leader and entrepreneur in the corporate, public, and nonprofit sectors-was recruited to the organization in July 2015. He has injected new energy and brought a bold vision to the agency. Under Jonathan's leadership, ADL is transforming itself, upgrading its capabilities, leveraging innovation, building partnerships, and pioneering new horizons.-- The T&K team is small, mighty, talented, diverse, and highly collaborative. The SVP, T&K has extensive experience in large, sophisticated companies (e.g., GE, Citi, Cigna), as well as smaller, more entrepreneurial environments. The SVP reports directly to the CEO and is a key member of the executive team. PRIMARY FUNCTION: This is a senior-level generalist role supporting the entire agency--and--serving as a--thought--partner with--the--SVP. The--role is broad and flexible.--Currently, the role--is--focused--on three key areas:-- --- Employee Relations--and Coaching --- Compensation-- --- Benefits/Compliance/HRIS-- We seek a results-oriented, resourceful, innovative, and business savvy HR professional, who will b e a trusted advisor and coach to managers and an advocate for employees. The right candidate will be-- passionate about utilizing their HR skills to affect change within ADL and make a difference in the world.-- ADL values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBT individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
          • Help drive a high-performance culture through ownership of the performance management and salary planning processes, coaching managers to improve employee performance, being a partner on restructuring efforts to enhance operational effectiveness, and leading training/development initiatives.--
          • In partnership with Legal, investigate allegations of unlawful behavior and/or violations of--agency--policy--and play a lead role in--handling--performance management and--disciplinary cases.--
          • Serve as a key point of contact with the--Professional--Staff--Association--(union) and support contract negotiations every two to three years.
          • Ensure equitable and competitive pay practices by judiciously utilizing a compensation consultant to price jobs and--annually--assess--the cost of labor in different geographies, providing managers with guidance on salary offers/promotional increases, and evaluating new positions and assigning an appropriate salary grade.
          • Ensure competitive and cost-effective benefit plans (subject to union negotiations), manage the relationship with and fully leverage the assets of the benefits broker/consultant, resolve escalated benefits issues, manage the open enrollment process, handle issues with workers' compensation and unemployment claims, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations/laws.--
          • Ensure--effective utilization of--the--HRIS (UltiPro)--to maintain employee data, accurately feed payroll, interface with benefits systems, and drive employee self-service.
          • Be a thought partner with other members of the T&K team and an active--champion of our diversity, equity, and inclusion--(DEI) initiatives. Ensure that T&K policies and processes are supportive of DEI.
          • Be a thought partner with other members of the T&K team and an active champion of our--wellness initiatives. Qualifications Skills:
            • Problem Solving - Assess situations thoughtfully and makes decisions in a systematic and decisive manner; Effectively use both data and intuition as a tool for decision making; Generates new ideas and solutions to problems by challenging the status quo and conventional thinking.

            • Communications - Clearly, concisely,--and persuasively conveys information to others, verbally and in writing; Actively listens to others and does not interrupt; Tailors style and message to be effective with the audience; Is candid and appropriately direct.
            • A working knowledge of--state--and federal employment/labor laws is required.
            • Proficiency with MS Office applications, including Excel, is required.
            • Proficiency with leading edge-- HR software applications and systems is preferred. Attributes:--

              • Professionalism - Approaches others in a tactful manner; Reacts well under pressure; Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; Accepts responsibility for own actions; Follows through on commitments.-- ---Work Experience:
                • A minimum of seven year's HR generalist experience with significant exposure to employee relations--and--compensation disciplines. Deep knowledge of employee benefits is strongly preferred.--
                • Must have--experience--managing others .
                • Must have experience successfully managing large-scale projects.
                • Prefer some work experience supporting a distributed organization (e.g., field or regional offices). ---Education:
                  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience is required.--
                  • A graduate degree in Human Resources/Industrial Relations or an MBA is preferred.
