in Downtown Columbia is looking for an IT Security Manager to join
their team. Essential Functions:
- Serves as Information Security Admin and Audit Manager.
Develops in association with the organization's Information
Security and/or Privacy Committee information security policies and
- --Implements the organization's information security policies
- Coordinates the information security compliance activities.
Provides information security training to the workforce.
- --Monitors compliance with the organization's security policies
and procedures among employees, contractors, alliances and other
third parties and takes corrective action. Manages information
security incident response. Monitors internal control systems to
ensure that appropriate information access levels and security
clearances are maintained.
- Performs information security risk analysis and periodic
information system activity reviews for information security
- --Assist in IT&S staff time tracking, scheduling, and
reviews. Coordinate virtual teams as needed, potentially involving
multiple departments at times.
- --Assists the VP, IT&S as needed with overall system
planning, budgeting, implementations, upgrades, metric tracking,
and ROI analysis. Tracks special tasks and escalations to ensure
customer satisfaction. Documents procedures, applications and tasks
- Ensure that all systems, applications, and equipment in your
area has current documentation and procedures for use and support.
Maintain vendor contact info as applicable for outside support of
all systems and applications. Monitor and report on compliance with
security policies, as well as the enforcement of policies within
the IT department.
- Propose changes to existing policies and procedures to ensure
operating efficiency and regulatory compliance. Assist with
development, tracking, and implementation of technical standards
- Serve as a technical resource for IS department staff and other
hospital employees. Assist in developing and providing training to
staff in the security admin and application access functions.
- Serve as liaison between end users, management staff and vendor
representatives. Processes Security Requests to include AD,
Meditech, etc. Disables/removes accounts when notified by
HR/Information Systems Management and ensure timely completion and
documentation of every request. Troubleshoots user access
- Maintains documentation for all Security Requests for auditing
purposes. Assists with internal security audits. Assists in
training organizational staff in Information Security policy,
procedure and best practices as it relates to security in the work
- Project Planning- May serve as POC for major interdisciplinary
projects, Coordinate vendors, calendars, and project expense
impact. Budget responsibilities to assist with Coding and
Researching invoices, POs, and Quotes.
- Contractor and project cost projections vs. budget.
Consistently strives to achieve complete customer satisfaction and
takes appropriate action when customer satisfaction is not
- Develops and updates position descriptions and performance
evaluations for all positions of responsibility. Perform other
duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or
equivalent experience in IT Security Admin or IT Project
Management. Masters' is desirable. Certification(s) in security
admin or project management. Certified PMP strongly preferred.
Minimum Work Experience
5 years of experience in IT Systems Administration, IT Audit,
and/or Project Management.
2 years of customer service/support experience preferred, including
after hours on call support
3 years of supervisory experience or IT Project Manager experience.
Enterprise Project Management and/or Healthcare support experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills needed Analytical
ability and problem-solving ability with skills to communicate
effectively with all levels of the organization. Location Columbia,
SC 29203 Hours Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM to--5:00 PM
