CrossBorder Solutions has offices in New York City, Tarrytown NY, St. Petersburg FL, London and Argentina. We are currently in hypergrowth mode and seeking new talent in Austin TX and Houston TX.
Role Overview

We are looking for a Director of Sales Engineering to lead our growing Sales Engineering team! As a Sales Engineering leader at CrossBorder Solutions, you will lead a team that partners with our global sales team as a technical resource while engaging with prospective clients. You and your team will be responsible for understanding potential customers' needs and translating how our product offerings could be a fit. You'll manage a diverse team of sales engineering professionals and drive operational efficiencies across the sales organization to ensure we build a best-in-class team that scales. This role will report to our Chief Sales Operations Officer.


Lead a team of Tax Expert Sales Engineers (SE's), ensuring all sales calls are properly attended to by the appropriate Sales Engineer for the product being offered.

Train and coach the Sales Engineers on best practices for interacting with prospects during Sales calls throughout the cadence phases, from discovery to negotiation.

Supervise each SE's ability to capture customer's key objectives, drive the activity around meeting them, and re-validate with the customer and internal Sales team.

Track each SE's overall performance and provide continuous feedback to guide their unique personal development path.

Work closely with Sales leadership to jointly develop strategic and technical account plans.

Interact with customers and prospects to understand their business needs and challenges.

Develop a close working relationship with our Professional Services Group (PSG) to ensure alignment between pre and post Sales activities.

Identify and address any internal, or external, disturbances to the productivity of the team.

Be a critical leader in the overall success of CrossBorder Solutions in retaining current customers, attracting new ones and re-approaching previous customers.

What You Will Need to Succeed

At least 7 years experience in technical selling and supporting software products.

At least 4 years direct SE People Management experience.

Excellent communication skills - written and oral; Ability to communicate sophisticated ideas; Very articulate.

Ability to hire, coach and develop a team of varied experience levels.

Willingness to embrace a fast-moving start-up culture and adapt to change.

Bachelor's Degree.
