Who are we?The cost of surplus food in the US is over $400Bn, with 40% of healthy grocery store food being sent to landfill, making it the #1 contributor to landfill, and a big driver of greenhouse gas emissions.
We are actively deploying infrastructure solutions to reduce fresh food waste by upcycling human quality leftover food from supermarkets into animal feed. Their background in large scale infrastructure is a perfect fit to quickly build facilities across the country, in order to aggressively attack the huge problem of food waste.
The company picks up healthy, surplus food from local grocery stores (after food bank donations) and turns them into nutrient-dense animal feed that mimics their natural diet. The company supplies the animal (initially chicken but plans to expand to beef and other categories) to retailers, allowing shoppers to buy carbon-reduced, great tasting product and combating climate change from their kitchens!
