Position Description
Director, E-Commerce Analytics

This is a newly created role! The Director is responsible for building and leading Quest Diagnostics' e-commerce analytics and optimization function. The primary responsibility of this position is to improve, enhance, and drive efficiencies in Quest's growing e-commerce business (QuestDirect) by applying cutting-edge analytical techniques. S/He will proactively generate and apply insights that maximize marketing ROI and deliver a personalized experience for our customers, and serve as the single source of truth for the business. The position reports directly to Senior Director, Market Research & Market Analytics; location for the position is flexible within the U.S.

Key Accountabilities include:
Proactively generate and explore questions and hypotheses pertaining to the e-commerce business, providing well-informed points-of-view that inform the development and execution of business strategies and tactics
Apply test and learn methodologies to optimize and personalize experiences at digital touchpoints along the pre/post-purchase consumer journey
Use channel and marketing analytics to identify how each touchpoint and interaction along the consumer journey affects conversion
Conduct A/B and multivariate tests for websites and digital marketing ads to better target and convert prospects
Utilize clickstream analytics to understand and optimize pathing, content engagement, and conversion
Analyze internal and competitive pricing data, along with consumer insights captured via market research, to inform pricing strategy
Socialize learnings and top performing tactics, and make recommendations for future pivots
Understand how website updates impact the business and consumer behavior; use insights to inform changes in strategy
Conduct cohort analyses and identify consumer personas to be enable personalization
Partner with e-commerce leadership to align on shared business goals, key KPIs for growth, as well as creative use cases for analytics
Generate and socialize reports and dashboards that track key KPIs and consumer engagement along the e-commerce marketing funnel, including website traffic flows and e-commerce ordering patterns
Lead data storytelling and generation of insights, and make recommendations for all results collected
Manage and develop e-commerce data analysts, with opportunity to grow the analytics team as QuestDirect evolves

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have the following attributes and/or experiences:
BA/BS required, preferably in a quantitative discipline
5+ years of professional experience working in digital analytics leadership roles in an e-commerce environment
3+ years of managing and developing e-commerce analysts
Strong knowledge of the digital ecosystem and online marketing tactics
Deep understanding of digital business metrics with a strong ability to not only explain "what happened" but "why it happened"
Strong storytelling and presentation skills, deploying compelling ways to communicate rich consumer insights with clear implications that drive action
Experience predicting, monitoring, and measuring the performance of marketing programs/ campaigns, including attribution modeling
Expert-level experience using Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics for website analytics including clickstream tracking and pathing analysis
Expert in personalization experimentation (A/B/n, MVT, regression modeling) using tools like Optimizely/Google Optimize/VWO/Adobe Target
Proficiency in at least one major tag management tool and ad pixel implementation (such as Google Tag Manager)
Demonstrated capability in designing, developing, and managing operational KPI dashboards using tools like Tableau/PowerBI/Looker/Grafana
Experience using statistical and visualization tools such as: R, Python, Tableau, SPSS
Experience using Customer Data Platforms such as Tealium a plus
Ability to learn new concepts and software applications quickly and efficiently
