The Role:
Reporting into the VP of Social, the YouTube Platform Manager will be responsible for managing the company's YouTube channels in support of the Game Day's primary content verticals. Our ideal candidate is a creative, data-driven channel management expert certified in YouTube channel growth (among other YouTube certifications) with a steady track record of developing audiences and increasing engagement on the YouTube platform.

Coordinate closely with all programming calendars, creative teams, audience development, analytics, as well as our YouTube partners. Being active across the community page, fostering strategic creator channel collabs and developing communities by replying to comments and other using engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
Own the upload/publishing and optimization of content to their assigned YouTube channels and oversee general day to day operations
Building and maintaining an online community in support of the company's overall social media strategy playbook
Work with analytics team on data driven audience strategy to optimize titles, tags, descriptions, cards, playlists, thumbnails and other content/features across the channel(s)
Use TubeBuddy, VidIQ, Tubular Labs, and other platforms to share additional insights with respective partners
Monitoring and driving conversation across our YouTube content and channels
Assisting with the planning of content planning for YouTube posts, including programming and posting design formats
Working collaboratively with our Production and Web teams to promote other Game Experience producing YouTube shorts
Delivering regular platform performance and updates, as well as informing of community sentiment and content-focused campaign performance
Providing qualitative and quantitative feedback based on consumer insights and close monitoring of community channels
Occasionally assist with video editing and graphic design

Skills & Experience

Relevant degree or equivalent qualification
Minimum 2 years experience running YouTube channel
YouTube Certified
Proven track record of managing impactful YouTube channels
A deep understanding of US Sports at least two of NFL/NBA/MLB.
A creative, self-motivated worker who will bring in fresh ideas and a new perspective
Very strong verbal, visual and written communication skills
Current in depth knowledge of social media analytics, best practices and emerging trends in sports media
Ability to develop and execute community engagement programs

Preferred Skills
Basic understanding of Adobe Premiere and Photoshop
A basic understanding of sports gambling
Deep understanding of the sports content world (can be outside of the NBA/NFL/MLB)
Demonstrate passion for youth-focused media, YouTube and the social video space
Ability to multi-task, problem solve and operate independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail
Experience writing social media copy, video titles and descriptions (SEO knowledge preferred)
Experience using YouTube's Creator Studio or Content ID back-end tools
Experience interpreting data, building presentation decks and sharing analytical
