DescriptionJob Title: VP, National Accounts ManagerLocation: NY
Office Description:Alger is seeking to expand the Business
Development team to continue our growth across retail and
institutional intermediaries. We are looking for a team-oriented
contributor with National Accounts experience, and a proven record
of building strong relationships with broker dealers, TAMPs,
private banks, aggregators, and other intermediary firms. The ideal
candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, detail-oriented and
committed to the success of Alger and our clients.What you will be
responsible for: Provide National Accounts coverage developing and
growing relationships with intermediary firms Improve product
availability and placement across platforms, recommended lists and
model portfolios, especially within TAMPS, aggregators, and banks
Work closely with Home Office investment gatekeepers, Research
Analysts, Product/Platform Managers, as well as Marketing,
Compliance, Legal and Operational contacts to identify
opportunities and drive successful outcomes Coordinate all aspects
of strategic alliances, senior management relationships/contacts,
and revenue sharing programs Develop and execute the business plan
with manager and teammates Work closely with the broader Business
Development team to drive sales and increase AUM Organize and host
due diligence meetings with key stakeholders of relationships
Communicate internally with Alger's sales, marketing, and other
teams to lead successful campaignsWhat your background and skills
look like: Seven or more years of experience and proven success in
sales and relationship management within the asset management
industry, preferably in a National Accounts role Understanding of
investment strategies and distribution partners Experience
coordinating and working with others across all areas of the firm:
marketing, sales, compliance, legal, administrative, and
investments Strong ability to develop new and existing
relationships with research and other home office contacts in the
previously mentioned client types Ability to travel up to 40% of
the time is required Undergraduate Degree or an equivalent
combination of training and experience required Grade Point Average
(GPA) of 3.0 or above in a 4.0 scale FINRA Series 7 & 63 licenses
are required in accordance with Alger's licensing policy Must be
based in the New York City metropolitan area. Investment-related
designations, such as CFA or CIMA, due diligence background, or
