Together Education is a non-profit incubator that helps entrepreneurs launch high-impact, scalable educational initiatives that support all students in accessing a high-quality education and attaining a choice-filled life. We provide ongoing support to this interconnected ecosystem of education organizations, allowing them to learn faster and have greater impact together.We currently support five main programs or ventures - -Cooperman College Scholars , a college scholarship program targeting high-potential, underrepresented students from Essex County, NJ; -nXu , -an innovative program working with diverse groups of New York City high school students to help them articulate and pursue their life purpose; -One World , -a program supporting international non-profit organizations in launching and leading high-performing networks of schools; -Lit , -a program partnering with schools and nonprofit organizations to support high quality reading instruction; and -Opportunity College , a new online post-secondary program for a new generation of career seekers.The Together Education central team provides shared services support to all of our programs, including financial, operations, HR, technology, and legal support services. Our job is to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes so our colleagues can focus on delivering amazing, life-changing programs. In addition to paying our bills on time, onboarding and supporting staff across all programs, and being helpful and responsive resources to our teammates, we always find ways to learn in our roles and improve how we do our work. We're looking for entrepreneurial finance and operations experts (or enthusiasts looking to become experts) dedicated to supporting a variety of education-focused programs who are excited to join a small, scrappy team.The OpportunityReporting to Together Education's Director of Finance & Operations, the Manager of Operations will execute all technology and systems needs, liaise with our insurance company, draft and manage the execution of program agreements across the organization, and continually look for ways to improve our organization and systems. The position requires a self-driven worker who is always looking to improve processes and continuously learn new things. The Manager of Operations will need to be able to execute day to day tasks accurately and efficiently while also looking at the bigger picture and independently own projects. In addition, the Manager of Operations needs to have a passion for Together Education's purpose and a deeply collaborative approach to work.ResponsibilitiesProgram and Vendor Agreements (30%):

  • Draft program agreements for all programs, in coordination with program colleagues, and manage collection of signatures as needed
  • Maintain standardized processes and systems for partner and vendor agreements to ensure consistency in documentation and agreement terms across the organizationTechnology and Vendor Management (20-30%):
    • Ensure that all staff have the tools and resources needed to work effectively by overseeing technology systems and org-wide technology tools, building new laptops and managing laptop inventory, and responding quickly when technology issues arise
    • Act as primary contact for relationship with the organization's outsourced tech services provider and other tech vendors
    • Review and code invoices for organizational operations vendorsRegulatory Account Maintenance (5-10%):
      • Maintain Together Education's employer accounts with various regulatory bodies as needed and work with PEO to ensure that all regulatory reporting is accurate and timelyInsurance (5-10%):
        • Liaise with organizational insurance broker to manage annual renewal process
        • Obtain certificates of insurance as needed and act as point person for insurance-related requests from program teamsOther Responsibilities (10-20%):

            • Plan for and improve scalability of systems as Together Education grows
            • Ongoing Learning for Yourself & the Team:
              • In partnership with, Director of Finance & Operations develop, model and maintain a positive and inclusive team culture for Together Education and its programs
              • Attend and actively participate in Together Education team meetings, engagements, and cross-functional spaces
              • Facilitate, develop and engage with Together Education's program as opportunities arise to deepen understanding and connection to the mission and program objectives for both yourself and the broader Team
              • Other:
                • Partner on responsibilities in connection with Human Resources

                  • 5+ years of professional experience
                  • Proactive, pragmatic, and resourceful problem solver - you enjoy trying to figure things out and when in doubt, you Google it or ask an expert
                  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a service-oriented mentality
                  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Zoom
                  • Excellent organization skills, has a high attention to detail, and is deadline-driven
                  • Strong project management experience working across cross-functional teams
                  • Manages complex and confidential information with accuracy, professionalism and discretion
