Our purpose is to transform and advance brands, businesses and careers.The Manager, Branding is responsible for procuring commercial brand related opportunities on behalf of Wassermans music artists with a specific focus on Wassermans Indie & Alternative leaning clients.The role may be based in New York, Nashville, Chicago, San Diego, Ft.Lauderdale or Los Angeles, with the expectation of in-office work at least 3 days per week.Day-to-Day Duties Include:

  • Secure offers and present to responsible agent and artist teams
  • Negotiate and finalize all deal terms on behalf of the client, ensure contracts are executed and payments are received in a timely fashion
  • Work with brand and client legal teams, as well as Wasserman Business Affairs to ensure contracts are thoroughly reviewed and executed
  • Closely track payments due to clients and coordinate with Wasserman accounting, brand payroll department and artist team so artist is paid in a timely fashion according to contract terms
  • Oversee brand strategy for artists including developing target brand lists in collaboration with artist team, develop a plan for outgoing pursuits and maintain comprehensive tracking of client pitches
  • Participate in client signing meetings and presentations
  • Work across Wassermans various business units to establish pipelines and funnel relevant brand opportunities to client teams
  • Oversee all communication and approvals of partnerships between the buyer and artist for the duration of the partnership
  • Cover shows when possible, to provide visibility and support to artists teams
  • Remain in constant communication with key buyers, brand and brand agencies in order to stay in the loop on incoming opportunities while also maintaining regular check ins with agent and artist teams to have the current information on clients.
  • Stay visible in the music community via award shows, conferences, panels and other industry eventsRequirements
    • Minimum of a bachelor's degree
    • 5+ years relevant experience with minimum 4 years of direct experience in the entertainment or music field
    • Possess persuasiveness skills to successfully negotiate on behalf of the client's interests
    • Position requires considerable flexibility n scheduling and the willingness to travel, work nights, weekends, and holidays
    • Ability to prospect and research marketing and media partnerships on behalf of the clients
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, PhotoShop, Illustrator, Salesforce, and InDesign to create decks, client bios and edit photos
    • Strong understanding of social/digital media
    • Well-developed communication skills, creative thinking and writing skills
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management abilities
