OBJECTIVES:Takeda SQS is looking to add individuals to our team

statistical programming function, exceptional leaders and

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:Develops and executes strategic plan to
support SQS technology and software needs while ensuring a
consistent approach to software and platform useLeads
cross-functional partnership with R Technology and Global Data and
Technology on behalf of SQS organizationProvides oversight of and
leadership support for Takeda's statistical computing environment
and associated platformsSets tasks and prioritization for the team
responsible for maintaining the SQS technology platformLeads vendor
technology strategy, exploring opportunities for vendor access to
Takeda systems and use of virtual desktop environmentsSuccessfully
engages cross-functionally to progress tasks with proven
influencing skillsLeads process improvement initiatives to
successful completionProvides oversight, leadership and direction
for writing regulated process related to SQS use of technology
platforms.CORE ELEMENTS RELATED TO THIS ROLE:Provides technical
leadership and ensures relevant statistical systems and technology
platforms address SQS needs and expectationsProvides vision and
leadership guidance in developing department standards related to
use of technology that meet business needs and regulatory
requirements. Leads the exploration, and implementation of
innovative solutions in the programming space to standardize,
automate and reduce manual labor to arrive at optimized R quality,
costs and timeliness.Researches industry trends and applies
findings in designing strategy related to use of novel technologies
and software in the field of statistics and programming Drives
decisions and implementation plans for the SQS organization that
address technology risk identification and reduction through
effective mitigationLeads team responsible for executing on
technology and platform strategyAssists Strategic Solutions and
Technology Head and Therapeutic Area Heads to ensure technology
supports successful implementation of statistical programming
strategies and efficient execution across the portfolioDIMENSIONS
AND ASPECTS:Technical/Functional (Line) ExpertisePossess a
comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and
statistical programming ecosystem (e.g., clinical development, the
prescription drug distribution process, etc)Possess technical
expertise at the enterprise level and specifically related to
administration and development of robust, flexible, and
forward-thinking statistical computing platformsCapable of leading
major technical effortsDemonstrate expertise in industry trends and
regulatory policy initiatives related to statistical computing
environments, use of technology in the statistical space, GxP
systems, and CRF 21 Part 11 complianceLeadership Ability to partner

science or related field with 12+ years of industry related
experience.In depth knowledge of statistical programming software
(e.g. SAS, R, Python) and common technology platformsIntermediate
level proficiency in SAS, R, Python or other programming
language.Experience with version control applicationsExperience
working on AWS and other cloud computing platforms Expertise in the
requirements and technology required to support electronic
submissions and a global data ecosystem, and the ability to distill
and communicate to othersExperienced in SDLC methodologies,
software validation, SOP authorship, and technical
documentation..Experienced in managing projects towards process
improvements Proven track record of leading business process
transformations and organizational culture change related to use of
technology and software platforms within a regulated data
ecosystem. Operational experience in pharmaceutical drug
development with significant direct exposure to clinical
