Responsible for management of compliance programs and improving leadership effectiveness to progress business performance. Serves as a consultant and advisor alongside Director of L&D to Gannett's leaders to enhance professional and leadership development strategies through the development and delivery of robust leadership development programs.--- Maintain the Compass Learning Program for compliance training, by managing all aspects of the yearly program from design through delivery. This includes (but is not limited to) working with key stakeholders, vendors, and communications & technology teams to ensure every Gannett team member remains trained on compliance-related subjects.Oversee Emerging Leader Program from new cohort inception through cohort graduation. This will include communications with program participants, participant's manager and key program stakeholders; facilitation of roundtables; and continuously evaluating program effectiveness.--- Partner with instructional designers to develop programs, teaching formats and platforms that are results-driven, creative, innovative, and user-friendly using various blended learning methodologies and delivery methods; including but not limited to: storyboards, facilitator guides, instructor-led classroom, panels, self-directed learning, structured peer communities, and virtual training with video and synchronous/asynchronous events, and evolving technologies.Ensure there is synergy between L&D and appropriate interdepartmental strategic initiatives.--- Build strong communication channels, interdepartmental relationships, strategies, and project plans to increase organizational awareness and facilitate timely completion of all work.--- Manage vendor partners for successful development and execution of programs.--- Provide support and coaching structures and processes to participants of all learning programs as needed.Requirements--- Education/Certification Requirements--- Bachelor's degree in Education, Training, Human Resources, Organization Development, or a related fieldExperience Required or Preferred--- (5+) years of job-related experience in a similar environment. (A combination of education and experience may be substituted based on management's discretion.)--- Specialized Knowledge Required or Preferred--- Comprehensive knowledge of training plan, curriculum, and aid design and development--- Understanding of how learning experience platforms work - especially the SABA LXP.--- Knowledge of adult learning theory and techniques, employee development trends, technology-based training methods and best practices for encouraging employee participation in the development process.--- Must be disciplined to work from home.--- Universal Skills and Traits Preferred (i.e., excellent written or verbal communication skills; ability to work autonomously; self-starter; etc.)--- Excellent verbal and written communication skills--- Strong business acumen/savvy to keenly assess and quickly understand an emerging business need and begin to create new programs/processes to support.--- An acute perception of the complexity and ambiguity of business issues and ability to assess associated training needs.--- Self-Directed, decisive, flexible and have good judgement--- Ability to design, develop, implement, and evaluate responsive programs and initiatives including training plans, curricula, and methodology--- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community--- Ability to facilitate focus group discussions, conduct classroom learning sessions, seminars and workshops. n a credible and effective manner--- Strong time management and organization skills.Technology/Equipment Expertise or Proficiency--- SABA LXP is a plus--- Office 365--- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.#LI-Remote#LI-DM1Gan.CorporateGannett Co., Inc. is a proud equal opportunity employer committed to building and maintaining a diverse workforce.
