Job Description:

As a Human Resources Director, you'll be a senior leader responsible for supporting the assigned business unit/s (e.g. AmeriHome Mortgage) and/or designated geography, helping the management team build and maintain a talented, highly capable workforce. You'll be responsible for coaching and advising executives and leaders on wide variety of HR activities such as employee relations, compensation, performance management, talent management, and employment law compliance. One of your key responsibilities will be to lead a team of HR professionals that build strong partnerships with the business and ensure all HR needs are met by working closely with the broader HR team including recruiting, HR operations, talent development, payroll, and benefits. You will oversee your teams' efforts to coach managers and employees on how to resolve workplace challenges, explore career development opportunities, and increase engagement and effectiveness.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for supporting the Chief Human Resources Officer in developing and executing the Bank's strategic and tactical people plans. Participates in shaping the strategic and tactical people plans, with assigned responsibility for program and policy oversight. As the executives' business partner, has specific focus on advising managers and employees on the best practices for people leadership, promotes and administers the company's HR policies and programs.
Serves as a thought partner and facilitator to resolve employee relations and performance management concerns of varying complexity, advising his/her team on how to navigate challenging situations. Directs the team's responses to regarding employee engagement responses and activities. Conducts complex, detailed investigations regarding ethical matters and partners with legal counsel on investigations and resolutions.
Assists with the production of reports and analysis for executive management and senior leaders. Employs the analysis to identify gaps and opportunities, and supports data driven decision making. Is responsible for guiding leaders and managers through change management processes to ensure successful deployment of policies, programs, and re-organization efforts.
Supports and promotes HR programs and partners with HR teams: talent acquisition (job profile development and review, candidate pool curating, etc.), talent development activities (succession planning, career development workshops, etc.), workforce management (promotion and compensation request review, etc.).
Leads and develops a team; responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training and development.
Bachelor's degree in related field
8+ years related experience
Previous leadership experience required
Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
Advanced knowledge of Human Resources strategies for performance management, recruiting, talent development, total rewards, organizational effectiveness.
Very competent and sophisticated speaking and writing skills
