Job Description: THE OPPORTUNITY Reporting directly to and working closely with the General Manager of Literacy Initiatives, the Director of Development is responsible for managing high level implementations of strategic accounts within the family and community engagement area. The role requires the understanding of FACE products and services in regards the needs of district and community development organizations and the intersection of how it ties into the engagement and academic performance goals of the schools and community. The role requires project managing, implementation and monitoring supports towards aligning goals, supporting successful implementations and sustainability plans while developing an understanding and relationships with internal/external school and community partners, helping to coordinate successful implementations of FACE supports. The responsibilities include gathering strategic insights helping the business development and other groups gather the necessary insight to support. The role also requires identifying ways to effectively help districts and schools have the qualitative and/or quantitative insights to measure and showcase success to stakeholders. RESPONSIBILITIES Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines Serving as a point of contact for district/school contacts, partnership organizations and Scholastic team members re FACE and community partnership projects to ensure team actions remain in synergy Communicating in partnership with business development with district and community partnerships regarding project status and alignment Support the business development team as a specialist and during high stakes presentations towards growth goals Being a specialist for business development key field opportunities identified that may need presentation and/or project design support Working with product development assisting with improvements, part of the co-design process and building school/community partnerships for co-design and advisory council opportunities WHO WE ARE Scholastic Corporation (NASDAQ: SCHL) is the world's largest publisher and distributor of children's books, a leading provider of core literacy curriculum and professional services, and a producer of educational and entertaining children's media.
