Job Description:
The Senior Scheduler assists and supports the project team on
assigned projects. He/she requires extensive experience in all
aspects of scheduling including scheduling software, CPM logic and
construction operations. He/she requires business management acumen
and must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time
management skills, as well as have strong communication and client
service skills. He/she must be able to supervise advice and/or
interface with project management, field Supervisors, schedulers,
and clients.
What You'll Do
Responsible for the safety of all assigned employees to ensure the
safe execution of all activities, including the strict adherence to
company safety policies and programs through the communication and
enforcement of the Skanska Safety and Health Management Program
including the ability to independently stop work for a safety
violation or suspected safety violation;
Leads scheduling efforts on large/multiple projects including
making independent decisions to the creating and/or adjusting the
project schedule;
Independently oversees and develops baseline schedules for
construction projects;
Builds fragnets relating to contract changes;
Contacts/follows-up with project teams;
Supports training to project teams;
Independent analyzes scheduling metrics and issues analysis to
project management;
Supports progress updates/variance reports;
Inquiries about software upgrades;
Reports scheduling metrics/risk issues;
Mentors Schedulers.
We're Looking For
Computer proficient and the ability to adapt to new innovations and
processes;
Ability to build and manage a schedule and has performed updates
for small to medium size projects;
Proficient in schedule core standards;
Proficient in Oracle Primavera scheduling software/core
standards;
Ability to read/interpreting design documents;
Broad understanding of industry;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Basic math/accounting skills;
Functions effectively as part of a team;
Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all
times;
Ability to understand and follow directions;
Good time management skills and organizational skills;
Strong decision making/problem solving skills;
Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management or
Engineering preferred, but experience may be considered in lieu
of;
7 years of scheduling experience.
