We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Quality Safety Manager to join the Mountainside Team! What You'll Do The Quality Safety Manager will assist the Quality Director in managing and implementing the quality improvement program for the hospital. He/she will provide education and care coordination ensuring compliance with quality reporting metrics and best practices to best meet the needs of patients. The successful candidate will be able to: Assume the role of Patient Safety Officer Manage the day-to-day functions of the Quality Department Coordinate the process of monitoring, measuring, and assessment of patient care and support of systems to achieve high quality, safe, cost effective healthcare services. Assists with the hospital Quality Improvement Plan development, review, revision, and implementation. Coordinate and integrate QI plans and processes for individual services Facilitate, develop, and implement special projects as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer, and Director of Quality Assist with public reporting through Q-Net and other pay-for-performance programs and initiatives, holding staff and departments accountable for achieving performance goals Establish quality measurement and improvement activities, including methods to track implementation of action plans following site surveys and critical events reviews. Assist with reporting and communication of quality improvement initiatives, quality and patient safety awareness, safety culture survey administration, and recognition programs Facilitate CQI teams and planning sessions as requested Collaborate with the Infection Control Department Teach quality and patient safety concepts to clinicians, trainees, and other staff during orientation and in various educational settings Lead root cause analyses, apparent cause analysis/debriefings, and conduct Clinical Alarm Risk analysis Will evaluate department goals and will report to the applicable director(s) and/or the Director of Quality Coordinate Patient Safety Event review and classification Develop, evaluate, and maintain quality dashboards and performance metrics Perform any and all other duties as assigned Responsibilities What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Nursing required, Master's degree preferred 3-5 years' of acute care medical/surgical unit experience preferred 1-2 years' quality and/or risk experience preferred Current NJ State professional Registered Nurse license Experience with Epic preferred CPHQ and/or CPPS certification preferred Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills: (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) Ability to balance multiple tasks/projects while meeting organizational standards What We Offer Competitive pay Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401k with Company match Company paid basic life insurance and long term disability coverage Generous paid time off, including an additional extended illness bank 6 Paid Holidays Tuition Reimbursement Advancement and career development opportunities Hackensack Meridian Health Mountainside Medical Center and Hackensack Meridian Health Pascack Valley Medical Center's are Equal Opportunity Employers and applicants will receive consideration for employment regardless of race, color, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
