ABOUT US:New York Edge is the largest provider of after school
and summer camp programs in New York City public schools. Each
year, programs in academics--including STEM, the arts, sports &
wellness, and college access help 40,000 students develop
leadership skills and succeed in school. Working parents count on

children.ABOUT THE POSITION:As a member of the Program Leadership
team, the Senior Director of Program Operations acts as the
visionary leader in developing cutting edge programs that create
engaging extraordinary learning experiences and impact to NYE
participants.The Sr. Director of Program Operations must have the
ability to support the implementation of various innovative program
designs and work as a member of the leadership team to adjust the
current program offerings. The Sr. Director of Program Operations
is the leader of the Elementary and Middle School programs in NYC,
Long island and other regions. He/She will oversee and support
program leaders and NYE department staff in the delivery of quality
programming in all schools. The Sr. Director of Program Operations
will also ensure that students are receiving the best quality in
areas of staff performance and the delivery of programs and in
compliance with all requirements. Salary:Up to $120,000. Salary
offered is commensurate with experience and credentials.Visionary,

Job Functions:Works closely with the Chief Program Officer and with
teams in the management, implementation and delivery of extended
learning opportunities.Lead and direct different cross-functional
teams, projects, and initiatives concurrently.Must successfully
manage workload and deadlines independently of direct
supervision.Cultivate strategic partners to head innovation,
influence, change and generate new ideas.Ensure NYE is at the
vanguard of cutting-edge eLearning and school-based
programming.Lead change management activities within a structured
process framework.Evaluate change, impact, and organizational
readiness to limit potential risk.Work with leadership team in
designing and delivering specialized training and resources aligned
to program goals.Supervise system infrastructure to ensure
functionality and efficiency.Develop staff utilizing internal and
external resources. Provide performance feedback.Use stakeholders'
feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments in
programs.Foster a growth mindset among team members to create a
culture of continuous teaching, learning and innovation.Essential
Job Functions:Lead the Elementary and Middle School
portfolio.Ensure effective, skilled delivery of culturally
competent and inclusive program models with an emphasis on project-
based learning, entrepreneurships, social justice and student
voice.Work with leadership team to ensure program models are
aligned with funder requirements and guidelines.Provide input and
work with leadership team with external partnerships.Support
on-site Directors to implement and design new strategic and
recruitment enrollment plans for programsConduct weekly site visits
and provide feedback.Ensure all sites participate in NYE events per
season in each program area.Build collaboration between key
after-school stakeholders, especially on-site Directors,
organizational partners, and principals to support the
institutionalization of Champions Clubs.Encourage and support
on-site Directors and line staff in their professional development
(identify problem areas and potential weaknesses) to improve
program operations, offerings and staff collaborations.Assist
Borough Directors in the development of needs assessment within
their school communities and monitor the implementation of
strategies to address those needs.Ensure that on-site Directors are
fully knowledgeable with all protocols and procedures including
trips and the preparation of trip approval documentsUltimate
responsibility of staff attendance/payrollAssist in staff
recruitment efforts. Promote overall staff retention.Participate in
the grant review process in response to requests for proposals to
secure state, federal, private and local funding.Provide on-going
constructive feedback to staff diplomatically pressing forward
NYE's mission, goals and values.Required skills:Knowledge and
understanding of both the academic delivery as well as the
operations of programs. Knowledge of effective sports, arts, and
academic programming.Be a proactive member of the Sr. Leadership
teamStrong leader and team-builder.Excellent communication (oral
and written) and interpersonal skills with proven ability to
interact with a diverse range of individuals both in person, on
zoom, and over the phone, while applying tact and discretion as
situations require.Qualifications:Master's degree required.Ten to
fifteen years of senior management / executive experience in the
field of education, sports, arts and/or youth development.A minimum
of ten years professional experience working with youth K-12th
including supervisory/administrative responsibility. Knowledge of
DOE core educational requirements. Understanding DOE common core
standards.Must have advanced computer skills: Adobe Suite,
Photoshop, Word, Excel, Power Point, and other programs as
needed.Covid-19 Related Requirements:Must provide proof of
vaccination against the Covid-19 virus.Must be able to adhere to
all federal, state, and local mandates regarding the Covid-19 virus
which include but are not limited to wearing PPE and remaining
