Mosaic Group, a managed markets division of IPG Health, is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Strategic Planning Associate Director/Director with prior experience working for a market access advertising agency or market access consulting firm to join our team. Specifically, we're looking for a candidate who can help transform payer insights into strategies that aim to provide optimal access to therapies. The role will have the opportunity to partner with top pharmaceutical clients and collaborate with seasoned professionals in the managed markets and HEOR (health economic and outcomes research) spaces. JOB OVERVIEWThe Strategic Planning Associate Director/ Director is responsible for serving as strategic lead on small account(s) and strategic support on larger, integrated accounts. In addition, the Strategic Planning Associate Director/Director is responsible for leading smaller new business opportunities, with a moderate to high degree of autonomy. On their brands/new business, the Strategic Planning Associate Director/Director is responsible for understanding the disease/market, competition and target audience insights and translating those insights into actionable recommendations for market access brand strategy. The Strategic Planning Associate Director/ Director develops strong partnerships with account and creative team members, earning their confidence and trust as a strategic guide along the process.Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and tactical recommendations based on evidence and insights to demonstrate a product's value to access stakeholders
  • Identify data gaps and develop strategies to uniquely position products for favorable market access considerations, including HEOR evidence integration
  • Strategist for new business development activities on small clients and support for large clients
  • Lead brand planning for one or more small client(s) through insights on landscape analysis, understanding of access drivers and competitors, and evaluation of evidence requirements to influence decision making and market access strategy generation across various stakeholders (payers, health systems & trade)
  • Designing, conducting and analyzing research for insights gathering internally; externally, serve as consultant for clients on market research design, methodology and results
  • In collaboration with the team, guide the development of compelling and strategically sound promotional materials that are on strategy and compliant with current FDA regulations
  • Represent market access capabilities on cross-functional meetings such as new business presentations and internal meetings within IPG Health
  • Other duties as assigned Requirements:
    • 6-8 years of experience, including working for a market access communications/advertising agency or consulting; or 4-6 years of experience plus specialized work in HEOR consulting, medical writing, or market access market research
    • Experience planning strategies for market access communication campaigns that result in creative deliverables a plus
    • Advanced life sciences degree required (PharmD, MD or PhD); MPH, MBA a plus
    • Strong understanding of managed care landscape and medical information
    • Will consider candidates with a medical or engagement strategy background who are eager to apply their skills and experience to market access space, a growing area of importance to pharmaceutical clients
    • Familiarity with FDA guidance on promotional use of health care economic information --- Strong presentation and meeting facilitation skills
