Job Description:
The Global People Business Partner (PBP), Assistant Vice
President is responsible for helping to support the design and
implementation of the talent strategy for assigned business units.
The role will be based in the US.The PBP will support the Ratings
and Research (R&R) groups within the Moody's Investor Services
(MIS) organization. Under the guidance of the Global People
Business Partner for R&R, they will develop strong client
relationships at all levels of management. The main
responsibilities will include:
- Business Advisor: Builds relationships with global senior
managers to understand business priorities in order to align People
strategies to business objectives and key results (OKR's) for the
groups that are allocated to them. Under the direction of the
Global People Business Partner, makes recommendations, provides
advice and is a trusted advisor to senior managers on full range of
People business issues. Contributes to the creation of programs
that drive higher levels of employee performance and engagement.
- Talent Management: Under the guidance of the Global People BP
for R&R, partners with senior management to implement a
framework for assessing and developing organizational talent at the
Senior Vice President /Senior Director + level in an effective and
systematic manner. For their assigned groups, will support talent
assessment processes including succession planning, executive
assessments, mobility strategies, high potential identification and
development, and building management bench strength.
- Organizational Development: Helps identify, facilitates, and
supports the implementation of change management and organizational
design and development initiatives. Partners with the Global People
BP and Leadership & Organization Development COE team to execute on
solutions to business challenges.
- Rewards and Recognition: Supports senior management,
compensation and business planning in the annual salary plan and
incentive compensation processes.
- Staffing and Selection: Works with Talent Acquisition team on
workforce planning. Participates in recruitment for senior level
positions.
- Workforce Analytics: Reviews internal and external metrics to
draw hypotheses and conclusions that help the business make more
informed decisions about its workforce. Uses metrics to make
recommendations to address particular issues.
- Project Management: Supports global projects and partners with
various People functions to resource project teams as directed.
Participates in cross-functional and technical projects as
appropriate.
- Bachelor's degree required. MBA or Master's degree or
equivalent preferred.
- 5-7 years or more of progressively responsible People related
experience with strong emphasis on People Business Partner
experience
- Ability to think globally and/or international experience
preferred
- Experience supporting corporate clients within financial
services, a plus
- Understand and know how to work in a matrixed model - both
corporate, functional and geographic
- Experience with dispersed workforce
- Some experience in Organizational Development, Change
management, Succession & Workforce Planning preferred
- Moderate level Talent Management/People Strategy Development
experience
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills
- Strong leader and people manager
- Solid project management background and experience with People
technologies. Working knowledge of WorkWise a plus.
