Job DescriptionAbelCine is a full-service equipment and
technology provider to the broadcast, production, and new media
industries. Our Production Services division currently has an
employed consultant opportunity for an experienced Stage Manager/
Audio Technician. The Stage Manager / Audio Technician is
responsible for the execution and white glove management of live
talent and microphones within the clients' Event Center, with focus
on high level technical excellence and responsiveness to production
needs while maintaining and pushing creative boundaries. Ability to
work independently and across groups to always ensure availability
in a customer centric, high service level and continually evolving
environment. This position encompasses the following
responsibilities:
- Responsible for white glove management of all on-stage
presenters and talent. Including assisting with presentation setup,
microphones, on stage needs.
- Monitors activity on stage to ensure the high-quality standards
of production are met.
- Assist Audio Engineer with coordinating and setting up
microphones for audience, live talent and guest for productions,
ensuring microphones are working properly.
- Assist Audio Engineer with coordinating and setting up RTS
wireless/wired communications equipment for staff.
- Clear and demonstrated understanding of the following
technologies Dante, Yamaha Commercial Audio, RTS Communications,
QSC, Assisted Listening Devices.
- Audio console operation & mixing: Yamaha CL1-5 & Yamaha
TF1-3.
- Ability to setup, operate, strike equipment as required for
assigned events.
- Ability to work with online project management, workflow or
process-driven tools for productions.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and design teams to ensure
that all creative content for live executions aligns with technical
capabilities of the facility's audio systems.
- Strong understanding of event logistics and technical problem
solving
- Be a team-player, with an "all hands-on deck" mindset
- Must have the ability to pick up new concepts in a rapid manner
and work closely with colleagues for long periods of time.
Successful applicants should possess the following attributes:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and related field minimum 5
years' experience in Event Technology & Live Productions.
- Vocational qualification in a live event technology field or
strong evidence of suitable in work learning, development, and
deployment of skillsets.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and make quick
decisions.
- Highly flexible communication skills, ability to rapidly
translate between the technical and non-technical sides of a
situation in a way that ensures understanding and customer
satisfaction
- Strong time management and organizational skills with
exceptional attention to details.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to interact, work productively
and collaboratively with other departments with other client
departments This is a full-time, exempt position that will be
