Job Description:
WW is looking for candidates to help change people's lives. We
are a global wellness technology company inspiring millions of
people to adopt healthy habits for real life. We do this through
engaging digital experiences, face-to-face workshops and
sustainable programs that encourage people to move more, shift
their mindset and eat healthier while enjoying the foods they love.
By drawing on over five decades of experience and expertise in
behavioral science, we build communities in order to deliver
wellness for all.
Role Overview:
Are big ideas your caffeine? Are you tuned into all things
cultural? Can you spark conversations in a crowded social media
landscape? If so, we want to talk to you. The Social Media Lead is
responsible for overseeing editorial strategy and content for WW's
social platforms, and specifically owning and executing our content
on Instagram (Grid, Stories, and Reels). Instagram should feel like
your second home-you love to geek out on the platform and you find
supreme satisfaction in outsmarting Instagram's fussy algorithm.
This position reports into the VP, Head of Content & Creative with
a dotted line to the Editor-in-Chief.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee a team of 4 social media creators across written,

Senior Art Director Director on elevating our brand presence but
pushing out the WW story to all wellness and weight loss
enthusiasts
* Collaborate with other senior members of the content/creative
team and across company departments (marketing, recruitment,
coaching, science, consumer products, PR, and more) to ensure
proper promotion of brand initiatives
* Strategize ways to build our audience and recruit new WW members
through Instagram collabs, influencer content, Reels, and new
content franchises.
* Ability to showcase scientific information and brand
ambassadors/members in socially friendly, aspirational,
brand-appropriate, in fresh, and unexpected ways
* Skilled at creating assets and ideas that range from fun and
humorous to thoughtful and provocative, positioning WW at the
center of cultural moments and zeitgeist-y conversations
* Manage social calendars across platforms and inspire social team
to think differently and creatively around concepts and
campaigns
* Stay on top of social trends that are WW-appropriate and
determine quick, best ways for WW to respond
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree
* 10+ years of editorial/social media experience (ideally for a
brand with a large-scale reach), plus 3+ years managing a team,
overseeing multiple social platforms, and collaborating across
matrixed organizations to achieve the desired end product
* You are an ideas machine--you see ideas everywhere and know how
to execute those ideas through the lens of WW.
* Proven experience creating buzzy, unexpected campaigns and
stories on social media that cater to the platform and, ultimately,
help elevate and position the WW brand (editorial/content or
consumer product/service) as a leader in the wellness & weight loss
space.
* Deep knowledge of the intricacies or each social platform and how
to read/use analytics to determine and refine strategy
* Proven track record of producing impactful, provocative content
that increases audience, engagement, and buzz
* Excellent organizational, planning, and collaboration skills with
an eye for detail and budget
* Experience working for a brand or organization that involves
communities or affinity groups, with an understanding of how to
approach sensitive topics
* Ability to spot social trends and leverage them to the benefit of
the brand
* Demonstrated experience managing multiple moving parts and
getting them moving in the same direction
* Ability to pivot and shift gears quickly
* Excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude
At WW, it is our priority to cultivate a diverse and inclusive

opportunity employer and we do not discriminate on the basis of
