DescriptionAbout this roleBusiness Unit Overview:Sourcing and
Vendor Management (SVM) is part of BlackRock's Finance
organization. The SVM team helps to negotiate agreements with its
vendors to help achieve optimum value, identify and mitigate vendor
risks and provides strategic advice to our clients. This role sits
within the SVM team in Budapest. The role however is very much part
of a global team based in New York, Gurgaon, Frankfurt, London and
Budapest.Background:SVM seeks an Enterprise Services/Technology
sourcing/procurement professional to support the deal life-cycle
for -some or all of the following subcategories: Cloud/Hosted
Software, Design and Construction, Health and Safety, Physical
Security, Critical Engineering, Facilities Management, Business
Services, Travel, and Corp Aviation, and other procurement related
initiatives on behalf of the firm.Principal duties include:
- Development of strategic sourcing opportunities through
competitive bidding, trial agreements, demand management, supplier
consolidation, and process reengineering
- Partnering with Enteprise Services Leads, Vendor Risk, and
Legal teams around the world in the negotiation of: Facilities
Services Agreements, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Schedules,
Statements of Work (SOWs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
etc.
- Ownership of the full strategic sourcing cycle, including
vendor identification and selection, price negotiation, and
contract "red-lining" (i.e. drafting and editing).
- Market research and benchmarking of suppliers and related
service categories
- Management of a global pipeline of contractsExperience
required:
- At least 5 years of strategic sourcing experience at a
consulting firm, technology organization, or financial services
firm.
- Depth in negotiating global contracts with Enterprise Services
and Technology Vendors
- A passion for the Enterprise Services and Technology sector,
including a comprehensive understanding of Enterprise Services and
Technology market drivers, trends, dynamics and opportunities
- Depth in negotiating across various design and construction
build outs, software licensing metrics, consulting engagements and
pricing structures.
- Relevant experience in drafting and redlining contracts.
- Sufficient financial modelling skills so as to build multiple
negotiation scenarios, total cost of ownership models, consumption
models, and demand forecasts etc.
- Experience directly drafting and running RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs
including vendor selection and vendor risk due diligence
- Experience with software vendor audits or vendor
disputes/escalation management.
- Strong MS Office skills; particularly Word and Excel. Working
experience with Coupa, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, SharePoint or
Pay-to-Procure platforms desired, but not required.Personal

- Bachelor's Degree, with preferences for Computer Science,
Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Supply Chain Management, Management
Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics,
Innovation Management, Technology Management, Operations Research,
Legal Studies, or Paralegal Studies.
- Advanced degrees in Business, IT (CS, MIS, etc), Law, or
Mathematics or related areas are also preferred. - -
- Strong English writing, reading, and oral communication skills
