SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: RIMOWA is looking for a PR & Events Manager to build the local PR plan in support of the brand's global PR strategy, and lead local events to drive brand awareness and amplify RIMOWA's brand positioning in North America. This position will report directly to the VP of Marketing in NA and play an integral role in the NA marketing team.

  • Partner closely with the VP of PR to support our global PR and communication strategy, and work with our 2 PR agencies to build the local PR plan to build brand awareness via ongoing editorial placements, influencer marketing, and storytelling in both the consumer and trade publication space
  • Manage two US PR agencies to support the North America PR plan and oversee their day-to-day activities, including gifting and other product-related requests
  • Work closely with the VP of NA Marketing to amplify key marketing initiatives through media outreach, such as brand campaigns, new product launches, partnerships, collaborations, new store openings, and local events/activations
  • Lead the planning, organization, and logistics of key marketing events with support from vendors and agencies, including brand sponsorships and brand activations
  • Lead new store opening events in partnership with the retail marketing team to engage the local communities to create buzz
  • Collaborate globally, cross-functionally, and maintain strong internal and external relationships with key partners
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with media, influencers, publicists, and VIPs on behalf of brand
  • Lead end-to-end development and approvals on all press release announcements with our global copywriter
  • Support retail marketing efforts by identifying and implementing local PR tactics to drive buzz and awareness in local markets -
  • -Partner closely with social media team to capture and distribute local content across appropriate channels -
  • -Responsible for creating PR recaps, event and program recaps, and distribute to global team

      • 3-6 years of public relations and event management experience
      • -Luxury fashion or retail background preferred (not required)
      • -Impeccable attention to detail
      • -Strong written and verbal communications skills
      • -Strong presentation and public speaking skills
      • -Experience in managing a PR agency
      • -Familiar with budget management
      • -Ability to multi-task, adapt, and pivot in an incredibly fast-moving environment
      • Willingness to get into the weeds and be involved in not only strategy but end-to-end execution
