Job Description:
The Front Desk Manager is responsible for assisting the Director
of Front Office in all front office operations to insure
profitability, control costs and quality standards ensuring total
guest satisfaction. A combination of education, training or
experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and
abilities is required. A minimum of three years' hotel experience
including one year of front office management experience and a
college degree, or equivalent, is preferred. A Fire Safety Director
Certificate of Fitness must be obtained from the New York Fire
Department within 120 days of employment. Candidate must be
flexible to work in the evening, overnight and weekends.
Position is responsible for the short term planning and day-to-day
operations of the Front Office Department. The major areas of
responsibility include: Front Desk, PBX, and Bell Staff.
Recommends, implements and monitors the Department's budget and
manages expenses within approved guidelines.
