Job Overview

The Sports Brand Solutions group is a team of experts that manage sponsorship strategy, ideation, and execution specific to assigned sports or addressable properties. The primary function of the team is to maximize revenue across the entire ESPN Platform by working closely with Disney Ad Sales, ESPN Production/Editorial/Marketing/Programming and advertisers. There will be a variety of sport and functional assignment responsibilities including SportsCenter, News and info Studio shows and Soccer across Linear, Addressable (Digital) and Social properties.

Responsibilities

The Manager, Sports Brand Solutions, will be responsible for playing a key role in developing and executing customized, integrated, multimedia sponsorship programs for Disney Ad Sales, and/or supporting our sponsorship business specifically for multiple sport properties. In this effort, the individual will have core job functions that include but are not limited to the below:

--- Day to day management of assigned sport properties
--- Manage the execution of sold sponsorships including the coordination of sponsor graphics, the creation of sales obligations and communication of obligations to production staff
--- Manage our inventory of available sponsorships and work to maximize their value
--- Work with Sales Communications, Insights/Research and Revenue Yield Management teams to create property and platform specific presentations to utilize in market both internally and externally
--- Represent Sports Brand Solutions in meetings to communicate strategy/priorities and serve as Disney Ad Sales liaison in both internal and external meetings as required
--- Maintain awareness of competitive sponsorship marketplace
--- Proactive opportunity creation
--- Maximize the value of assigned sports properties across all platforms by creating proactive sponsorship opportunities for Sales to pitch.
--- Collaborate with internal teams including Sales, Production, Content, Programming, Revenue Yield Management, Sales Communications and Research to develop the opportunity, create sales materials and pitch directly to clients as needed.
--- Track and communicate the status of pitched opportunities
--- Respond to RFP's and manage available assets
--- Work with sales to respond to client requests.
--- Vet custom requests with internal parties, including Programming, Production, Commercial Operations and Creative Studio. Build consensus amongst the teams on the final deliverable to the client.
--- Work with Research to develop insights to support pitches
--- Track and communicate the status of pitched opportunities
--- Guide junior team members across various business functions

Required Qualifications

--- 5+ years of marketing or sponsorship experience with a media company
--- Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, GoogleDocs
--- Highly organized, time management skills, ability to multi-task
--- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
--- Demonstrated ability to think outside the box

Preferred Qualifications

--- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred
--- Team player with the desire to do whatever it takes
