Operational Risk Project Manager. We are seeking an Operational Risk Project Manager for our client in New York City. The Operational Excellence team is the team with a mission to enable business growth and objectives while maintaining a strong control environment. The Operational Excellence team acts as a Center of Excellence within the business, and assists in the identification, measurement, monitoring, andmanagement of Operational Risks related to the business products, processes, and initiatives. Operational risk is the risk to the current or projected business objectives and resilience arising from inadequate or failed internal processes or systems, human errors or misconduct, or adverse external events.Job Responsibilities:--- Partnering with multiple stakeholders including product /process owners and platform and capabilities teams to create end to end process maps for the dining and lounge benefits--- Identify process risks and develop mitigating controls and/or control enhancements for these functions--- Understand the end-to-end data transfer and hand-off risks associated to process fulfillment and delivery of customer promises--- Develop and update process risk self-assessments, test and certify controls, and identify control weaknesses and implement enhancements, as necessary--- Partner with Compliance, Legal functions and Privacy to ensure products and processes comply with applicable laws, regulations and policies, with effective controls and rigorous testing to prove compliance--- Ability to coordinate and manage multiple stakeholders in different regions and time zones --- Management of Operational Risk programs such as New Product Assessment, Third Party Lifecycle Management, Corrective Action/Loss Event Resolution and Process Risk Self-Assessment--- Partner with Risk Pillar SMEs, (i.e. Technology, Compliance, operations, etc.) on initiatives to ensure standards/deliverables are achieved--- Apply innovative concepts to measure and manage risk consistent with regulatory and governance requirements--- Identify and escalate to leadership observations, high residual-risk areas and emerging risk themes--- Effectively communicate learnings to business partners in order to drive necessary responses and action Minimum Qualifications:--- Bachelor's Degree--- 3-5 years of experience in operational risk management, strategy, internal control and process or similar function within Financial Services industries--- Strong Project Management and organizational skills with ability to succeed in a fast-paced, collaborative and team-oriented environment with evolving business needs--- Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate stakeholders globally in various time zones --- Must be detail oriented, very organized and a quick learner--- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated ability to interact with and influence cross functional teams--- Proactive, results oriented and driven--- Previous experience in Operational Risk Management and Compliance is a Plus Work Environment:--- NYC office, hybrid --- Monday- Friday work week, 10 paid company holidays--- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full time, permanent basis--- Salary range is 75,000-90,000 with full benefits including; health, dental, vision, 401K, PTO and sick leave Emerge seeks, in all of its operations, to employ individuals for available positions based on their qualifications, working knowledge, and competency.Emerge has a continuing commitment to ensure that fair and equal employment opportunities are extended to all qualified persons without regard to traits historically associated with race, including but not limited to, hair texture and protective hairstyles; color, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, national origin, age, disability, familial status, marital status, citizenship status, military status, domestic violence victim status, predisposing genetic characteristics or genetic information or any other category protected by law.
