Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a HR Shared Service, Senior Manager to join our People team.
Build and lead an HR Shared Service team to support Oscar's fast growing employee population while working in close partnership with the senior leaders of the People Team. This role sets the vision and strategy for a scalable employee facing entry-point to the People Team and evaluating current processes for improvement and efficiency through tooling. -
About the role

You will report to the Director, Human Resources. This is a remote / work-from-home role. You must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, or Washington, D.C. Note, this list of states is subject to change. #LI-Remote
Responsibilities


  • People Leadership with an openness to hearing other voices, driving change with team buy-in, and thoughtful support of individual development
  • Assess, develop and deploy a vision and roadmap to support effective and scalable HR Shared Service function across the People Team. -
  • Define and/or refine stakeholder engagement models including setting escalation standards, ongoing training, and feedback loop processes.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop a strategic and solutions-focused approach, including developing scalable and standardized frameworks for the HR shared service function.
  • Evaluate and improve infrastructure to get the team to a steady and scalable state. -
  • Learn how Oscar does HR and be prepared to add flair/creativity to current processes -
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or 4 years commensurate experience -
    • 6+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources with a generalist foundation
    • 3+ years experience leading a team including coaching, educating and mentoring employees and performance management
    • Proficiency with Google Workspace including Docs, Sheets Slides, and GMail

      Bonus Points

      • HR certifications (i.e. SPHR, PHR, SHRM, SHRM-SCP)
      • Previous lead an HR Shared Service function
      • Startup experience -
      • Workday experience
