The MongoDB marketing team is looking for an individual who wants to leverage their unique combination of business, creative, and marketing expertise to lead our transformation towards making the customer voice central to our GTM motion. This role will require strong collaboration across product, sales, and marketing resulting in a unified vision, message, and strategy for building a customer advocacy program that builds trust, earns engagement, and cultivates a thriving community of customer champions. -
You have a customer-first mentality. You are passionate about building programs that deliver customer value and can be scaled to meet the needs of a rapidly growing business. You are a skilled cultivator of both customer and internal relationships and will work closely with internal stakeholders to understand and meet their customer advocate needs.
This role is based out of North America and is fully remote. -
Your Role:

  • Spread the customer love & centricity in MongoDB's brand voice by ensuring that customer stories are incorporated across the company - in sales and new hire training, all-hands meetings, earnings vignettes, and our 1P events
  • Raise reputation and reach across our customer base, and the wider industry, for MongoDB's commitment to world-class customer success
  • Lead/partner in the development and management of the MongoDB customer advisory board and executive sponsorship program that fosters community and connection among our top customers, access to our executives and continual feedback opportunities
  • Nurture our customer advocacy program with customer appreciation that motivates and inspires advocacy, retention, and growth
  • Uncover the motivators and goals of our customers and partner cross-functionally to identify compelling opportunities for customers to engage with MongoDB in both inbound and outbound programs
  • Ensure that the c-suite, sales, and marketing teams are equipped to hold conversations that incorporate real customer stories and proof points
  • Develop stories that provide coverage for key go-to-market themes and product value statements
  • Cultivate and deliver a body of "lighthouse customer references" that help drive brand awareness and reputation for MongoDB

    • Lead a team to plan, build and implement and deliver a successful customer reference program, building a community of eager customers who are willing to participate in 1:1 sales and/or industry analyst reference calls -
    • Drive engagement of customers to advocate for MongoDB on third-party review sites -

      What you will need to be successful:

      • 10+ years marketing or communications leadership experience in a high-growth B2B/B2D systems/SaaS/Enterprise software company
      • Understand how to leverage various channels to generate a groundswell of positive awareness and perception
      • Have an exceedingly high EQ and are someone that can create buy-in and that people want to work, collaborate, and partner with
      • Ideally have public company experience and have been a part of intense growth
      • Excellent interpersonal skills
      • Proven track record of team leadership, strategic planning, and program execution
      • Strong team building and team management skills
      • Experience creating and running Customer Advisory Boards
      • Experience with Salesforce preferred
