We believe that our differences enable us to be a better team - one that makes better decisions, drives innovation and delivers better business results. -Job TitleVice President, Learning & Development, Learner Experience & PlatformsOverview:The Vice President of Learner Experience and Platforms will oversee the experience for how our learners receive, interact with, and retain learning, and the integrated tech and operational architecture that makes the experience remarkable. They will be responsible for defining Mastercard's learning technology architecture, optimizing the learning vendor portfolio, ensuring world-class content and experience design, overseeing the end-to-end learning process, and maintaining the health of the entire learning ecosystem. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a strong track record of disciplined execution, data-driven decision-making, effective systems thinking and problem solving, and navigating cross-functional and matrixed organizations to get things done. This individual will push the boundaries of adult learning by being a pioneer in staying at the cutting edge of learning technology, disrupting the ways our learners learn, especially with the emergence of the next generation of workers. This must also be balanced with the realities of implementation constraints and therefore this individual must be adept at using constraints as catalysts for innovation. They will lead a team of learning professionals to bring all of this to life. Having experience in learning & development, learning experience & design, learning operations, and learning governance is critical. A background in product management, process management, systems implementation, and change enablement are highly valued. Role:--- Reimagine the learning architecture, including platforms, vendors, processes, and governance --- Lead the vendor portfolio optimization strategy and execution, inclusive of taking a strategic view to the overall portfolio, partnering with Sourcing and Technology to run RFPs, lead vendor assessment and selection efforts, lead implementation efforts, and drive the ongoing commercialization, adoption, and management of the solutions and vendors --- Define policy, standards, and governance for Learning & Development, including policies on mandatory training and contingent worker training, standards for learning experience and instructional design, and governance to ensure we are running a tight ship for flawless execution --- Provide end-to-end ownership of all Learning & Development processes and, in partnership with Mastercard's Global Business Service Center and HRIS, design and implement a frictionless experience for our learners in every interaction they have with Learning & Development as well as our colleagues who need to administer those experiences --- In partnership with internal Risk & Control organizations, establish a strategic and developmental learning curriculum for mandatory trainings --- Oversee the end-to-end vendor onboarding and vendor management process, including tracking of invoices and spend --- Serve as the primary point of contact on overall Learning & Development budget and spend, ensuring a discipline of sound financial management across the organization All About You:--- Effective people leader, able to multitask, prioritize and inspire a team--- Learning, development, and/or talent management experience in a leadership role - tech/digital industry experience advantageous--- Experience in effectively influencing senior leaders and internal partners --- Ability to coordinate effectively across regions and business units to implement global standards --- Experience in negotiating with vendors and holding them to account --- Robust global event management and presentation skills (in-person as well as virtual)--- Strong communications skills and creative mindset--- Culture builder and employee experience expert - passionate about fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace--- Ability to build strong and trusted relationships with senior P&C team as a strategic advisorIn the US, Mastercard is an inclusive Equal Employment Opportunity employer that considers applicants without regard to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disabled or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
