ID: 2022-1846Department: Himan Brown Center [25]Job Summary92NY is seeking an Associate Director, Social Work Services to manage the social work needs of the Himan Brown 60+ community and to collaborate with the Clinical Director, in the management and growth of existing and future program areas. The Himan Brown 60+ program fosters intellectual, physical, and spiritual pursuits of its members through lifelong learning, wellness and engagement. Responsible for oversight and support of Himan Brown members:

  • Provide direct services and support to members and families as needed, including short term counseling, advocacy, information, and referral.
  • Monitor the well-being and engagement of Himan Brown members.
  • Meet with potential members to address with concerns or questions.
  • Oversee and work closely with part-time RN.
  • Recruit and assess potential new members providing program information.
  • Acclimate new members to the program and our community.
  • Facilitate ongoing support and growth groups in person and online.
  • Work with the member-led Committees in supporting their missions. Community Outreach:
    • Develop and maintain relationships with community-based agencies, research institutions, geriatric focused organizations and medical practices for member referral and collaborative partnerships.
    • Liaise with social workers in the geriatric field to share best practices and develop a support network within the industry. Program Operations:
        • Work with the Clinical Director on areas including program budgets, grants management, member data collection and analysis.
        • Liaise with 92NY Foundations and Government Relations Department regarding funding opportunities.
        • Perform other related duties as requested or assigned. Experience, Education, & Skills Desired
          • Licensed Masters of Social Work (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), with a current NY State License
          • 5 years of experience providing services to adults.
          • Experience working with older adults preferred.
          • Experience facilitating therapeutic, support and psychoeducational groups.
          • Experience providing social work supervision preferred.
          • Experience working in a fast paced, community-focused environment, with the ability to manage the needs of a diverse group of people with ease and diplomacy.
          • Ability to thrive as a team player, often with competing demands.
          • Strong organizational, verbal, and written skills.
          • Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to manage, balance and meet deadlines.
          • Analytical problem solver with the ability to identify and solve problems creatively, quickly, and effectively.
          • Familiarity with a range of community resources for older adults and the ability to make effective referrals.
          • An understanding of Jewish traditions and culture a plus. Work Environment & Requirements40 hours per week. This position is approved to utilize a hybrid working model which is subject to change in the future. COMPENSATION RANGE $65,000 - $85,000 The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
