Job Description:

This position will serve as a key point of contact for Branded Cards quarterly stress testing (CCAR) for the $85Bn Credit Card portfolios.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Quarterly forecasts as well as on-going interactions with various internal/external constituents
  • Develop innovative solutions as process evolves and demonstrate high-profile leadership during regulatory review, auditors and the Independent Risk community
  • Lead and develop a team of risk analysts and manage complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas
  • Lead risk financial forecasting efforts, including designing and maintaining complex credit loss and financial risk forecasting models, conducting cost of credit analyses, and monitoring product trends to identify key areas of risk-opportunity
  • Establish cross-functional partnerships and networks in order to support the execute cross-functional and business initiatives
  • Ensure effective risk and controls are in place in the delivery of Cost of Credit commitments
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in a large, sophisticated credit granting or Risk Management organization within a major consumer card or financial services businesses. Their experience will have been gained in high volume, medium-to low risk environments, where risk assessment, technological sophistication and data mining techniques are critical to their success. This candidate will bring a strong analytical orientation, and appreciation for broad-based risk issues and a familiarity with risk systems. This candidate will have demonstrated record of performance in a sophisticated, fast-paced consumer credit environment. This experience is complimented by excellent overall business judgment.

    Additionally, the candidate must be able to:
    • Establish solid cross-functional partnerships and networks to contribute and execute against various business initiatives
    • Have the expertise and experience to define, drive, and deliver innovative modeling techniques and data strategies to enable best in class risk management
    • Provide leadership in the management and efficient delivery against requirements set forth by internal Risk oversight group as well as external regulators
    • Have the capability to clearly communicate complex analyses/issues. Presentations to both technical and non-technical personnel are required as well as presenting to regulators and auditors
    • Provide analytic thought leadership and detailed analytic plans to the team

        • 10+ years of experience including significant exposure to analytical methodologies and modeling frameworks
        • Ability to influence and lead across cultures as subject matter specialist and executive levels using sound judgment and to execute effectively across businesses and functions
        • Excellent written and verbal executive level communication skills with the ability to articulate complex problems through concise and clear messaging
        • Ability to assess complex issues through root cause analysis and other analytical techniques; quantitative skills and understanding of statistical tools; structure potential solutions; drive to resolution with senior stakeholders
        • Highly motivated with attention to detail, team oriented, organized, pro-active, manage projects against deadlines and mentor staff Education:
          • Bachelor's degree/University degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics or Engineering disciplines
