Responsibilities:
--- Lead premier planning efforts across US events, conferences,
and meetings from request, through execution and post event
reporting across all US business units.
--- Think strategically and be forward looking about team, budget
and resources needed to execute growing annual events calendar.
---Oversee key relationships across Blackstone businesses and
Marketing, serving as a trusted partner - presenting semi-annual
event budgets and strategy planning.
---Drive innovation on the team with a willingness to experiment,
with the ability to balance "big picture" thinking with tactical
execution.
--- Manage multiple workstreams concurrently with consideration for
prioritization, complexity, influence, and levels of involvement
required to advance initiatives.
---Collaborate on new event and industry sponsorship opportunities
in the US.
---Develop best practices and processes on the Events team and in
partnership with the larger Marketing organization.
--- Lead event technology efforts for hybrid programming, targeting
global audiences.
--- Lead contract negotiation and manage vendor service levels.
--- Deliver venue selection and management - should provide
knowledgeable venue ideas with recommendations for an ideal
setting.
--- Working with client team(s) to provide guidance on agenda
building, material design and speaker suggestions
(internal/external) and presentation idea generation.
--- In-depth knowledge of full production process and audio-visual
requirements.
--- Event closing - provide client with reconciled budget, schedule
post conference debrief / surveys and generate initial and final
feedback for potential rescheduling.
--- Some travel required.
Qualifications and experience:
--- 7+ years' experience in event planning and management in a
fast-paced corporate organization.
--- Strong New York and US venue and vendor knowledge.
--- Proven track record of developing business relationships across
all professional levels both internal and external, from C-Suite
and Partners to PAs.
--- A self-motivated problem solver.
--- Personal integrity, initiative, leadership skills and the
ability to work as part of a global team in an environment that
demands excellence and time.
---In depth and hands on experience in the Lanyon/Cvent Project
Management and Registration platform.
--- Strong negotiating/commercial/entrepreneurial skills.
--- Strong financial acumen and proficiency in budgeting management
software.
--- Ability to develop credibility with internal and external
clients.
--- Strong communication skills with proven ability to build and
maintain relationships.
--- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage
multiple responsibilities and events while maintaining high quality
standards.
--- Ability to adapt style as the situation requires.
Core focus : US Event management, lead planning and executing a
robust calendar of high visibility internal and external meetings,
sponsored conferences, and special events, reporting to the Global
Head, Event Management in New York.

Expected annual base salary range:
$165,000 - $200,000 Actual base salary within that range will be
determined by several components including but not limited to the
individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location.
For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted
salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation
process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms
of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the
advertised role.
