Purchasing Manager - Services Procurement - NYC New York Permanent $80,000 - $125,000 per year

• Work with Head of Shared Services to run services procurement for the firm

  • Develops systems, policies, and procedures to evaluate supplier quotations that utilizes appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and service
  • Select and maintain suppliers that provide high quality products and services at best identified cost and lead time status while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct
  • Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize internal customer service
  • Provides timely and accurate material costs in support of bid and proposal activities
  • Manages Procurement and Shipping and Receiving operations and personnel through the establishment of daily work queue and tracking of daily work completion
  • Responsible for Inventory accuracy /management, Inventory Cycle Count process and for driving weekly inventory reconciliation activitiesThe Successful Applicant
    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or related field required
    • 3+ years experience in Procurement ideally from financial services
    • Great written and verbal communication skills
    • Self-starter, able to work independently with the ability to quickly resolve key issues with little oversight
    • Good problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
    • Exceptional organization, time management and multitasking abilities
    • Keen attention to detail
    • Thorough understanding of development, implementation, and budget management
    • Exceptional talent in negotiating and networking
