For more information, go to, and interact with us on,,,,,and.Position Summary:We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Desktop Support Manager - Brooklyn. In this role, the successful Clinical Desktop Support Managerwill provide leadership to our Brooklyn Hospital Campus. This role will oversee the day to day support of the Desktop support technology provided to the clinicians. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the MCIT vision, strategy, and the execution of technology while efficiently and effectively oversee the Clinical Desktop services we provide. This position will work closely with peers and specialists to establish standards, processes, and organization structures to support NYULH. This key role will effectively manage the team relating to performance management, while coaching and mentoring staff to facilitate their personal and professional development. You will be responsible to ensure your team is providing optimum service and lead by example by performing tasks in order to provide timely service and achieve customer satisfaction. You will also provide operational, technical, and administrative leadership to the team through management, planning and allocation of resources. Also influence, and work with other MCIT teams to provide technical support when needed by the team.Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall Management for Clinical Desktop support team's technology and operations.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of all the Clinical Desktop Support services and operations including Build, Deploy, Run and Retire stages.
  • Carries out analysis at a strategic level and develops business proposals to exploit technology in line with the organizations mission, objectives, and strategy.
  • Advise and influence Clinicians at management level, regarding the delivery, costs, availability and functionality of services.
  • Develop an effective partnership with vendors and customers, establishing confidence and respect.
  • Represent the MCIT organization at a high level, both externally and internally, formally, and informally.
  • Take full responsibility for you locations budgeting, estimating, planning and objective setting and maintaining fiscal constraints set by management.
  • Work closely with other MCIT teams to establish infrastructure and operations team that imbeds the proper controls to comply with chosen Security framework. Imbed security into every aspect of service delivery.
  • Work closely with other managers to establish technology refresh roadmaps.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, training, and performance feedback for your team members.
  • Create an effective work environment by developing a common vision and setting clear objectives.
  • Plan and organize resource allocation for BAU support which includes incidents, tasks, service requests and project requirements. Ensure work is effectively allocated and project milestones are completed on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with other manager to ensure the appropriate technical capability is in place to support the organization's needs, identify any individual/team development needs and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Manage and report progress while escalating issues and risks; will also own issues through to resolution for your location.
  • Communicate and champion A.C.E. best practices and risks to all parts of the organization where appropriate.
  • Work with 3rd party vendors to deliver projects or troubleshoot issues, as required.
  • Report status on projects to IT management, when required.Minimum Qualifications:To qualify you must have the ability to work independently as well as a willingness to follow direction Has a strong motivation to learn, works well under pressure and is experienced supporting technical and non-technical end users Must be self-motivated, flexible, proactive with issues and responsive to various levels of staff and management Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously Organized, detail orientated with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Team player that is willing to take on new responsibilities 4+ years in an IT management capacity desired BA/BS DegreeQualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.NYU Langone Health provides its staff with far more than just a place to work.
