Citi Treasury manages the balance sheet, capital, and liquidity of Citigroup; manages and provides corporate oversight of liquidity, interest rate and currency translation risks; and supports businesses with risk identification/management, product innovation and funding strategy.

PBWM Business Treasury - Financial Resource Management is an advisory group dedicated to the Personal Banking & Wealth Management (PBWM) business. The unit is responsible for evaluating financial resources such as attributed capital, risk weighted assets, GSIB exposure, liquidity, and stress losses across several lenses. The unit may monitor those resources, support the review and challenge of forecasting them, provide subject matter support and training, and advise business and finance teams on the efficient use of such resources. The group also represents and advocates for PBWM in Citi's capital attribution methodology, and advises on return measurement and regulatory capital impact in investment decisioning.

Job Description

This role will serve as a senior analyst in the PBWM Financial Resource Management team, with their primary responsibility being supporting FRM initiatives and financial resource monitoring. The candidate is expected to have or develop subject matter expertise in the capital, risk weighted assets, and other financial resources, and to leverage that expertise to support efficient resource management and strategic decisioning. The form of their work may shift between monitoring, advisory, advocacy, or communications/learning depending on the most relevant business need at the time, but there will be basic recurring responsibilities such as maintaining capital returns governance, advising on capital and capital returns on investment initiatives, and resource monitoring. This is a new and expanding division of PBWM Treasury, and candidates will have an opportunity to help guide new processes and objectives.

Responsibilities

This role will serve as a senior analyst on the PBWM Financial Resource Management team, with responsibilities including:

• Supporting FRM initiatives, which may include:
  • Maintaining PBWM RoTCE framework, including documentation and communications, and review/challenge of business capital attribution methodologies
  • Evaluating PBWM investment initiatives for capital returns evaluations and regulatory capital impacts
  • Capital Attribution methodology knowledge sharing and business advisory
  • Monthly financial resource monitoring and reporting
  • Financial resource forecast review & challenge
  • Production of executive-level presentations
  • Financial resource analytical support for PBWM Treasury, as well as PBWM Business and Finance
  • Coordination with Treasury, Business and Finance partners to promote transparent communication and awareness of financial resource management topics
  • Remaining abreast of latest regulatory changes and implications for capital and liquidity metrics impacting PBWM
  • Driving thought leadership on financial resource strategy with ad hoc projects and analytics
    Qualification/Skills
    
    The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of Treasury and consumer bank balance sheet management. Specific qualifications are to include:
    • Minimum 4 years to 5 Plus years' experience in Treasury, Finance, Business Product Management or Investment Banking
    • Hands-on experience in Forecasting, Stress Testing, Capital Management, Economic Analysis preferred
    • Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving capacity within an unstructured and dynamic environment
    • Product and/or project management experience including the ability to translate analytical frameworks into business requirements
    • Demonstrated ability to concisely communicate analytical objectives, observations and relevance of findings across the organization in written, visual (graphical) and verbal form
    • Comfortable explaining findings, project plans and project status to senior management Education
      • Required Undergraduate Degree, preferred Master's degree in Finance or Economics
