Accounts Payable Manager - ITV America
The role is based in New York, but may require travel to Stamford, Connecticut. .
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
--- Provide leadership and guidance to a small staff, currently up to 3 to 4 employees in accounts payable department
--- Support payables process for our US based non-scripted, scripted, and corporate divisions
--- Suggest policies and procedures, identify and implement efficiencies, monitor processes, trouble-shoot issues, communicate with internal and external customers
--- Process weekly check and electronic payment runs utilizing reports to review for and prevent duplicate payments
--- Reconciliations related to accounts payable
--- Review and approve vendors set ups, maintain tax information, and flag payments for 1099 reporting
--- Work with the Tax Accounting department to address vendor tax related matters
--- Prepare information for internal and external audits
--- Oversee ITV America's credit card program, including issuing and cancelling cards, loading actuals and commitments into system, and ensuring timely payment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE:
--- Bachelor's degree or equivalent In Accounting, Management, or Business, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired
--- Five plus years experience in accounts payable unit within a medium to large organization, with at least two years supervisory experience
--- Advanced computer skills including proficiency in Excel and Word, ability to work with and analyze or reconcile large amounts of data, and experience working ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Dynamics, etc.
--- Ability to identify best practices and implement process improvements
--- Must be a dedicated professional and team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills with people at all levels of the organization
--- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization and handle each request with discretion, tact and diplomacy at all times. Patience, tolerance and resilience are key skills.
