START YOUR APPLICATION The manager of the K-12 programs at the Non-Credit Programs office at the School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) -is a full-time -position. The position -manages all SCPS K12 after-school programs during the academic year and camps during the summer. The manager reports to the Assistant Director of Non-Credit Programs at SCPS.The K-12 programs manager works physically at Manhattan College and regularly visits the afterschool/summer program sites. The employee will manage K-12 staff in person and remotely and conduct on-site visits periodically. Our K-12 programs serve over 300 participants currently through a combination of synchronous and asynchronous after-school and summer programs. Fee-based K12 activities support -this position, and the manager must comply with reaching the annual net revenue goals through a combination of marketing/partnership/sales strategies and high-quality services delivered.Responsibilities:

  • Maintain net revenue and enrollment levels as set by the Assistant Director of Non-Credit Programs. Five to ten percent annual program growth in net revenue and enrollment is expected for each business line. -
  • Maintain personal contact and communication with parents, staff, interns, and partners, including various strategies adapted to the needs of particular families and institutions. -
  • Manage administrative compliance duties such as renewal and acquisition -of licenses (SACC) in served areas.
  • Having the OCFS file updated at all -times, -participant payments, & refunds, summer camp housing & meals, inventory management, supply purchase order requests, and other related duties to running after-school programs and summer camps during the year.
  • Identify, hire, -train, and retain temp staff as needed to run the K-12 programs during the year, including site managers, tutors, and volunteers.
  • Market and promote K-12 programs using various tools, such as social media, newsletters, printed media, community engagement, and partnership discovery and cultivation.
  • Recruit tutors and participants -to reach expected annual K-12 program goals.
  • Design and implement new K-12 programs to expand on the current portfolio of offerings to grow and sustain projected registration and net revenue goals.
  • Evaluate, advise, and manage group leaders, teachers, volunteers, and staff. Follow hiring protocols, NYC fingerprinting, SACC license compliance, and internal College processes.
  • Develop and update COVID-19 protocols for K-12 programs following New York City, New York State, and Manhattan College policies.
  • Manage sites during the absence of site managers -as needed.
  • Identify, engage, cultivate, -and secure new partnerships with CBOs, other Lasallian institutions in the U.S., internationally, and New York City public & -private schools. Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent; master's degree a plus.
  • Experience with KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to evaluate the progress of activities toward establishing new goals, metrics, and budgets.
  • Interpret KPIs to track, define and determine the success of the programs and overall business objectives.
  • Comfortable making data-driven decisions to optimize the K12 programs' -performance through the development of monthly reports.
  • Must have previous experience working with K-12 learners for at least three years. Accepted experience: a) Licensed NYC elementary or middle school teacher, b) Coordinator or similar responsibility for after-school program/summer camp.
  • Familiar with SACC license protocols and funding support entities such as DYCD, NYCDOE, OCFS, or NYSED.
  • Experience -using technology basics: hardware (PC or Mac laptops, Apple devices, iPhone and iPad); software (Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office); and web-based applications (Google Suite).
  • Open to learning and using technology systems to track payment, attendance, and other related information.
  • Experience with COVID-19 protocols in school settings is a plus.
  • Willing to perform all job duties with enthusiasm and a positive outlook.
  • Must have an appreciation for teamwork and drive to be part of a high-level team.
  • Mental and physical ability to deal with high-stress situations and to work well under pressure.
  • Able to carry and move boxes of up to 15 pounds and walk up and down stairs
  • Have the skill to perform several tasks concurrently.
  • Must possess practical experience in peer leadership & -supervision and -staff management & -motivation.
  • Should be capable of working professionally with others at all levels of the organization.
  • Must possess a business, sales, and entrepreneurial attitude.
  • Understand and align with our Lasallian mission.
  • Must have an excellent level of spoken and written English.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is a must.
